Size Issues at CP

Hello! This is my first post. I have read the other posts about not fitting on the rides, and the "new" seat belt rule. I myself (size 18/20) find that the turnstyles are annoyingly small on most rides. I think its kind of amusing that they add "donut time" in the same year that they decide to enact a new unpublished "rule" about seatbelts..lol. I definitely think they should have test seats before you purchase tickets... I mean that is a LOT of money to spend and a lot of time to waste in line only to be humiliated and told you are too fat to ride. I did manage to find one article about an Intamin coaster where a 300lb guest fell off and got injured and they were blaming it on his size... http://www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/news/archives/may99/stories/051899_01.html

I myself think that the park needs to be more size accepting and loosen those turnstyles a little... if the belt buckles, then you should be able to ride... and I think that they should train their employees on being courteous and discreet should the belts not fit. They should also definitely post their new "policies" and spell them out on the signs in front of the rides. I'd be pissed off waiting 4 hours for a ride only to be told I can't go on because I'm too fat.

Just my opinion. :o)

"Donut Time" does seem more like an oxymoron now, eh?

Yep. I think we can all agree on all your points. The policy is absurb. My car isn't any safer when I wrench down on the belt and cut my circulation off. As long as it is on and tight it does it's job. Heck, in my car the seatbelt isn't even the secondary restraint, it is the primary one.
