Signature

I recently changed my signature, but when ever i make a post it still puts my old one on. I have gone to edit account numerous times and changed it, and clicked make changes etc. And now when i go to edit account it has my new signature, But it still continues to put my old signature on. Anyone know how to fix this?

Here's what I did: nuke the GTTP cookie, click on the logout (didnt matter in my case if it "logged out" or not), close the browser. Go back to GTTP, edit account, edit sig, save changes. That should do it....

To check if your new sig is stored, find the GTTP cookie (a new one should be created) and look at it in notepad. It should say your sig in it. Hope it helps :)

Wow I nuked EVERY cookie that I have in my folders and still I can not change my signature!?!?!? I have no idea what is going on.

If you want to nuke all your cookies to make sure and you use internet explorer Click on Tools, Click on Internet Options, then Click on Delete Cookies. ;)

Fear the Mullet!

When all else fails, try the universal system recovery options...

Start the machine in MS-DOS mode, and type:

C:>DELTREE WINDOWS

If that doesn't help, try...

C:>FORMAT C: /U

(Of course while either of those options will result in a dramatic performance increase for your computer, you will have to reinstall everything...............)

It could be worse ... these people could be using Linux (you know - the OS with more security holes than Win 2000).

I wonder when the bashing of Microsoft, some of it valid - much of it based on exaggerations, will go out of style. I become more convinced that people who take shots at Microsoft do so because it seems to be the popular thing to do, not because it's based on fact.

I guess it's easy to pick on the big dog at the top. Kind of like Cedar Point bashing at some other sites :)

Walt..Keep in mind that I work on Designing Data Networks for SBC..I have seen more Microsoft issues than I care too in my days..Especially with their new flavor XP, which is nothing more than a release full of bugs that they wanted to get out before the courts came down on them..Get it out now and we;ll address problems later! Yes I do have a UNsunny disposition with Microsoft to a point but unlike others have some distinct expereince and 1st hand experience with headaches and work arounds!

People keep talking about all these bugs and problems ... I'm just not seeing them. We have 10 NT servers here at work - none have seen any Microsoft-related down time ... ever. One has been running non-stop for over 2 years! On the other hand, we had two Linux servers. They went out the door after they were hacked. Our last remaining SCO UNIX box is being phased out because it costs more money to maintain than our 10 NT boxes combined.
