Does anybody know, if cedar point has ever considered a shuttle
service for guests of breakers express and castaway bay?
The park would need to do some decent amount of changes to the resorts/park gates in order to run an efficient transport system to all the hotels. The park would also need to invest in large buses (like Disney World), not just small transit vans as they have now.
Plus there is also the fact that they can barely handle the shuttle service to the peninsula only.

Why would any changes need to be made to the resorts or the park gates? You pick people up at one and drop them off at the other. People get dropped of by private vehicles & shuttles from other hotels in the area so why would CP doing the same from two of their properties necessitate excessive changes?
Nor do they need giant Disney style busses; not only do Disney resorts have many hundreds and in some cases thousands of rooms but many people do not have vehicles to get themselves to the parks… at CP everyone has a car since there isn’t any other practical way to get to the park.If they wanted to start a shuttle service they could just add some of the same vehicles they have now and shift them around as demand warrants.
They don’t offer it because it’s been proven that they can not only fleece people via. a grossly overpriced room but bend them over and make them pay for parking as well. I imagine thousands of dollars a day are made off of those who either aren’t aware of or forget to get reimbursed for parking.

Me: "It's a roller coaster, not a broken clothes hamper."
I always thought, what would be cool is the shuttle running at one hour before
park opens each half hour till 11am or noon. Then run as needed till
one hour after park closing. Have a phone outside main gate for
guests of breakers express and castaway bay and also be able to
call for shuttle from room or have front desk attendant call for you.
Notice I said...if they want to run a "efficient" service
Large buses would be needed because the off point hotels have over 500 rooms, so even if only 25% of guests took the shuttle, the small buses would be packed at peak times.
Changes would be designated drop off/pick up areas, because can't have hundreds of guests standing at one bench as they have now. They would also need to set up a system of how to keep track of who is a guest and who is not. Anybody can park at Castaway and hop on the bus to get free parking for the park.

A simple solution to identifying a guest is show your room key to the
driver. The key cards have cedar point resorts on them.
Stay one night, keep the key and have free parking for life. I doubt a lot of people would do that, but probably enough to make it a problem.
