Country show at Red Garter (and this from someone who woudl rather be walking around in red hot iron underwear than listen to country) is a great show.. THe band is the same as last year and the fiddle player steals the show.
Anyone familiar with the group 'Barrage' (they've been on PBS a few times) and knows the song "Old Joe "Clark" will be amazed at him. He plays all 7 fiddle parts.
Horray for Hollywood at Centenial Theater on teh Midway is pretty good this year.. Be prepared for the surprise props during "Singing in the Rain"
The Dive show this year is much more 'crowd oriented' than past years and is a good time.
Fantasy at Lusty Lil's.. it's ok.. not my favorite show thats' for sure.
Slam Dunk at the Cinema Showcase is ok.. not as good as Crash Boom Bam last year.. but ok..
THe Imax movie this year "Micheal Jordan to the Max" is actually a pretty cool little flick, and nice break from the hot weather.
The Do-Wha's outside Coasters have been rehearsing in Live E and go public tomorrow..
Then of course.. the Summer Spectacular at 10pm on the midway..
That's all the shows so far.. Rock, Pop and Soul (at the Garter also) is in the Live E building (no general public access, but it's going to be an interesting show from what I've seen) right now but should start having public practices this coming weekend because they go public on Weds if I remember.
I guess this is what I get for hanging out with Live E people alot...
Just don't miss the Country Hits Live.. you'll be kicking yourself in the rear end if you miss it. Some of these people will be household names in a few years..
