short lines ?

going to cedar point this season. would like to know best time and days to go for short lines

Tuesdays and Thursdays have been the shortest for me in the past.

Ouch! Ok, Mike P, you're new. and that's ok. I'm not going to bash you for asking the "what day should I go" question. But just for future reference, use the search feature first before you start posting. The "what day is the best to go--will it be busy on x day?" question has been answered time and time again--well, technically, it hasn't because it can't be answered because there is no real answer. Yes, I do agree with Scooter, Tuesdays and Thursdays are good days to go--GENERALLY. But I've also seen those two days become a packed house at the park. It all depends on the weather, time of year, and whether or not families decide to "go to the park" that day.

So again, There is no real answer.

I discovered that I could not post a reply using IE. Wouldn't let me type in the reply box (as you can see by the blank post above).

Anyway, if you go early in the season (May/June) or late in the season (end of August/September), lines are reasonable during weekdays, with Tuesday-Thursday the best days.

I got confirmation that my church youth group is taking us to CP on Friday, June 7th....but I saw that day is COASTERMANIA!! What scares me, is that the lines will be HUGE that day!! Will they for sure? Any past experineces with Coastermania crowds/lines?

If the park was going to be hammered for CoasterMania, the park wouldn't schedule CoasterMania for that day.

Don't worry about it. There will be a thousand card-carrying coaster nuts in the park, and they'll be having ERT before and after normal park operating hours. Other than that, it will be a pretty ordinary Friday in early June crowd.

Anyways, when you say an ordinary Friday crowd in early June, what would that be like? (I've never gone on a Friday in June). :(

June is a pretty good month to go. Crowds really start to build at very end of June and the beginning of July and stay heavy up until the last week of August. You have a much better chance of short waits in May or June than in July or August. Its impossible to know for sure, but just go in June and you won't be disappointed. Just a reference, I think there was only one day in June last year that Magnum had over a 30 minute wait. Of course, Magnum didn't have more than a 50 minute wait in July or August, so that reference probably doesn't mean much. :)

CLOSING DAY! I went closing day last year and in the morning there was a 15 minute wait for mf! I walked on magnum and mantis! The only downside is that it can get really cold in october, so dress warmly.

I went the day before closing day last year and the park was also fairly dead that day. But keep in mind it was very cold those days. I think closing day has had some big crowds in the past.
