Have you ever been in an Arrow flume boat? They don't flood, sink, capsize, can navigate turns, and they don't have restraints. That's a classic.

When we were at Knotts last weekend....i was sad that we couldn't bring the Timber Mountain log ride back to Cedar Point with us! Talk about a great flume ride, Wow! That, and the Calico Mine Ride. Definitely going to miss those two rides!
I know Knotts is a theme park, but there is no reason that CP can't have a ride of that calibre.
When you visit CP, visit my Mill, est. 1835
I've thought STR sucked since it was first announced and I saw the concept artwork.
I had a similar impression when Maverick was first announced. Fortunately I was quite wrong in that case.
But STR completely fulfilled my expectations.
It's a shame- I loved WWL. While I was sad to see it go, I was comforted by my expectations that it would be replaced with something world-class and much better, as was the case when WWL replaced the original STR.
But it turned out to be quite the pooch-screw. It'd be nice if I see an implicit acknowledgement of this by CP in the form of a new traditional log-flume attraction elsewhere in the park, though I don't expect it.
If they do tear down ID as suggested in a current thread (which I hope doesn't happen) that would be a fantastic site for a log flume as it is a nice wooded piece of real estate.
Another quality product from Intamin. It's unfortunate that they can't really make a good case for breach of contract or some other legal concept that would entitle them to money back for one ride after another that takes years to get it running right. Though to be honest, I have no idea what kind of assets the company even has.
