As someone who is lacking in conversation skills, I can say that you need to work on your conversation skills. Isn’t it exhausting thinking that you need to fight a battle with everything you say? If you really have moved on, like you say, then you wouldn’t be taking everything so seriously.

I thought people were kidding about the “offended by everything” mentality that exists in society today, but it seems like you are following that pattern closely.

I agree with very little of what Siouxsie said especially the vegas comment. But he's right about one thing. This forum is (and has been) filled with bullies for many years now.

You know what would have made this place so much better? A requirement to use real names along with a decent sized avatar of your face picture. I guarantee you that a lot of the nasty things that have been said (including to myself) over the years would never have been typed because the anonymity would have been lost. Imagine, running into someone at the park who had bullied or threatened you on an internet forum. Saying things almost nobody would dare say to your face?

I've been on forums since the 90's when I got my first 300 baud modem. I think in the 25 years I've been chatting with people online I've ever seen such a mean, sometimes vicious, group of people who for the most part are afflicted with a false sense of moral superiority than on this forum. With one notable exception, which is any sort of political forum (think CNN or Foxnews comments sections). So, as bad as this place is, it does get worse unfortunately.

It's a real shame because it's a great venue to share information, stories, news, etc about a place we all love. CP is one of the happy things in my life and having to come on here and get bullied takes something away from that. Which is why I generally don't comment much anymore. Arguing on here is kinda like wrestling a pig in the mud. After a while, you realize the pig is enjoying himself. But I still come here, for the occasional useful piece of information (of which there are none in this thread, simply entertainment). I hope as the users of this forum age a bit that some level of maturity follows, but I have my doubts.

So you want to kick someone you don't even know in the teeth because they called you out on being a bully... and we are the ones crossing a line? And I am in therapy, have been on and for years. We go get physical exams when we need to, but I think a mental health checkup can be even more beneficial. After a major career change and getting out of a 5+ year relationship two and a half years ago, therapy has done wonders on helping me discover how to be awesome as a person, a better partner to my current significant other, and has helped me refocus on both personal and professional goals. I suggest it to anyone.

Believe me, I've already cut the federal budget for CP. During my campaign visit last year, I was told I was too fat to ride Valravn after taking the long walk up the exit ramp. Not only that, but when I complained about it to management, Lyin' Tony Clark told me I had no reason to complain. Then Low Energy Jason McClure asked me to never come to the park again. Cedar Point is terrible, that I can tell you. Sad!

Yeah that's the only problem is that it is too long for a tweet, so I tried to include aspects of both his, I mean my speeches and tweets together. And yes this was worth the account creation because I can create unlimited sibling emails so it's really not a problem.

You degrade people you don’t know and will never have the privilege of meeting on a persistent basis, then you have the asinine gall to use the racism and bigotry cards like they are throw away terms to shut up anyone you disagree with.

MaverickLaunch, sorry you are offended when people are calling out someone that has in-person, not hiding behind a monitor, berated multiple employees for doing their jobs and posts what idiots they are for following safety protocols he/she has no knowledge of. Perhaps the offense card should be reserved for truly offensive material like the racism and bigot cards should be. I don’t think most of the people on here are ‘hiding’ behind monitors or posting stuff they wouldn’t say to someone’s face. If anything the anonymity provides protection from people like Siouxsie coming to their workplace or libeling them on social media, I am self employed and couldn’t care what people like that complain to myself about (and I have had that happen, it’s quite entertaining).

On the contrary, that's not acceptable behavior in the least. Notice I said I did not agree with much of what he had said. I was only sharing my own experiences and observations about the hypocritical behavior and sense of moral superiority, and lecturing, and bullying, that does occur on this forum. He is right about that, regardless if his own actions in fact conflict with his statements about bullying.

Where was it ever said that I berated multiple employees? I told you of myself and a friend who went to guest services because of the now legendary parking issue after being stuck in a lot for a couple of hours because of poor traffic directing. And I didn't state the person was berated, I stated that after he expressed frustration about the situation, the employee was in complete agreement of the problems with the situation. If you are going to embellish, best to have something to back it up. People love to re-write history to suit their over-dramatized reactions. Not in this case, pal.

So what you've confirmed is that your statement was entirely false. Quoting me that a friend got furious after asking a couple of security guards is hardly me personally berating "multiple employees". Are you going to admit the blatant mis-characterization or are you going to keep circling around with meaningless attempts otherwise? It's great to see another person here confirming the bullying nature of this group, and I'm sure there are more but in my experience most of those prefer to take those comments off board so as not to become another target. I usually make it to Ohio 6-8 times a year Sandusky/Cleveland HOB (good friend is a foundation member), but my newly discovered passion is Nashville and it took two of my vacation trips away from Ohio this year

I dated a guy that worked in P&D, so I spent a good amount of time 2014/2015/2016 in Sandusky, but that 8.5 hour drive eventually took its toll on that relationship, damned Lake Michigan in the way.
I would truly like to retire to Sandusky I really love that quirky little town(except the Meth problem
), plus it gets a lot less snow than Green Bay.

Next time I’m heading that way, maybe you’d like to come to a show at HOB Cleveland, best seats in the house (Opera Box #1).

So one vague unspecific comment is what you've got. And since you didn't witness the way this person spoke to us or what the exchange was, you cannot comment on whether or not anything was justified, or the severity of the exchange. Keep trying to prove something that doesn't exist, gang. But I give you an A for research and effort.

I thought maybe this thread could have a chance of addressing a question regarding park policy and a somewhat negative experience. Then I thought just maybe the thread could then evolve to discuss said policy, perhaps even suggest some improvements and have a civil debate. But then I remembered that this is pointbuzz.
