I think I agree, actually. The history of the ballroom can be preserved without actually preserving the physical boards/structure. If they were to build a new structure in its place that was actually functional, there could potentially be a lot of opportunity for future events in that space. But from the sound of it, the park is not investing in that... at least for now.
