Security Certificate

Jeff - I went to renew my add-free membership, but when going to www.popw.com/pointbuzz I got a notification that your security certificate expired on August 5, 2007.

I just want to double check that the renewal process is still secure before I go sending my CC info over the interwebs.

Yeah, I already let him know the other day. It's fine. It's still encrypted, just expired.

Thank God. I'm sick of these ads.

Now I'm just waiting for them to go away.

Yes, it's quite secure, it just means that the certification authority will no longer vouch for who I am. Like they know me anyway. :)

Especially since it looks like you were using Comodo - They don't do anything but a simple WHOIS on the domain usually. Or they take our word as a reseller that we've 'verified their identity'. Riiiggghhht.

BTW I can get them at cost. It's like $34 for 1 year and $52 for 2. *** Edited 8/15/2007 9:06:35 PM UTC by bholcomb***
