Second Saddest Day of the Year

This day always makes me sad. No cars in the parking lot. No rides are operating.

What's there to get sad about?

All the kids are back in school and Pointbuzz returns to normal.

I guess if you would rather spend your time on Pbuzz than being at the park then you are right - you have nothing to be sad about. But that in itself seems pretty sad to me.

I never go on the weekdays, so it does not matter to me. And, by the time the park closes, I'm ready for a break from riding anyway.

The empty lots now mean 1 step closer to Halloweekends and GateKeeper. Not too sad to me... It's only sad if you think about the off season and getting older. :)

Wonder how much it would cost to walk around the park when it's closed. Not to ride anything, of course, just to walk around, look at stuff that you wouldn't see with throngs of people around.

^I'm looking foward to the PB offseason tours. I hope I can get into to one. They seem so cool!

Forget tours. I'm talking about some alone time with Ms. Cedar Point.

$150 plus court costs? Just a guess.

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

If you go in for early entry, the park is pretty empty, anywhere except the handful of rides that are open.

its a interesting thing to walk around the park when no one is there. before the park opens for the summer theres a lot of prep work so theres a lot of time spent in the park and its a really odd feeling to actually see people and hear the sounds of cp. The biggest thing I notice is the smell, its so different when all the shops are open.

I thought it was really weird during coastermania being there at 6 am. It was still a little dark out when I first got there and all of the sprinklers around the park were on. No music was playing. It was just silent.

I am sad it is empty lots, but I am looking forward to Hollow weekends plus it is getting closer to Gate Keeper. We still have just under 2 months of ride time!!!

Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs

Happiest time of the year for me, it means Halloweekends is about to begin. :)

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Going to the first Halloweekend event myself. But I also like the area so I am gonna be there from 9-10 to 9-19. I always find a great deal of peace in the area

It wouldn't be very Negligent of me to spell my name correctly.

Anyone happen to notice this morning that SS is at the top of the tower and they have temp barriers along the front of the entrance?

Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved

I see the cabin at the top this morning.

I would not be surprised if the barricades are for the Triathalon this weekend.

It is all about perspective. The Full Time employees are all being reunited with their families so it is one of the best days of the year for them.

^ more like they're getting more than 1 day off a week and in most cases their first day off in two weeks. i remember the super odd feeling of sleeping for two days. Labor day is kinda like a "you did it" Holiday for employees. Its a feeling thats hard to describe and you'll only really know if you worked there.
