Seats for Larger Riders

How about the front seat? I find front seats are comfortable on Corkscrew, Gemini, Magnum, etc.

I think I should mosey on over to the Mine Ride next time I'm in the park.

I wondered if anyone would catch my sly attempt at some crude humor. Glad ya liked it Kruggie. :)

The front seats are definietly more comfortable on Corkscrew and Magnum. I haven't ridden in the front seat on Mine Ride or Gemini in a few years so I can't comment on them.

The front seat is better on ALL the rides and i can confirm that the trick above helps on the Mine Ride but its not always possible to ride alone......
Maybe I will just cut my legs off below the knee? CP should still let me ride right? Being comfortable on a coaster is more important that walking!
Ya, Front seat on Mine Ride! The front is like a Town Car compared to the back seats which are like Escorts.

Then again I only have problems with leg room on Mine Ride, the ops don't really have to shove me in.

I don't think riding single and straddling the bar in the middle of Mine Ride will help though. I think it would hurt more than anything else :-o.

As for the other 2 Mine Trains, sitting in the back seats cuases my legs to bump up more which means monster room with the lap bar :).

Just a bit of advice, if you are having trouble on Millie with the seatbelt, make sure you sit in the front of a car. The seatbelts there are the same length as the ones in the back, but they have less distance to travel so it gives you that extra inch or too.

Another solution to the seat belt on MF is instead of wrapping the belt around your gut, try to get it under your gut, which is a shorter distance.

are the belts on mean streak longer than the ones on BS? Cause BS has been mentioned as hard to get into but not mean streak...i thought they were the same.

I know that the only hard time I had was on blue streak...I have no idea why because you would figure them to all be of the same size..Perhaps it is the way the seats are constructed or something but I had not a bit of difficulty on Mean Streak.

I am a fan of crude humor!

I had trouble on Mean Streak but not Blue Streak. I do have to be honest and say it probably wasn't the belt's fault. I didn't really want to ride it, and I think subconsciously I was trying to get out of it. hehe

I think everyone is missing the point Shorti2443 was trying to make. Why is it that someone is fitting fine in test seat, wait through the line and then doesn't fit in actual ride seat.

Anyone else hear of this happening?

I have something just as weird; On Monday May 14, I ride Woodstock Express with my 5 year old. Belt was snug, but I managed (once the ride op told me I was getting my shirt in the buckle). Tuesday May 15 it rained and it would not come close to fitting. My wife, who is smaller than I, but still large, tried and could not get the belt to fit her. We concluded the belts must shrink when it rains. Or we gained several inches overnight. (not!) But the day before I even had my scanner on when I buckled up.

maybe it had something to do with what car you sat in?
I have noticed that's Raptor's "new" seats are a little more snug. The ones before, as well as the test seat may have been broken in from 6 years of pounding.

ESPECIALLY train 1, row 8 right seat. I normally fit in the other seats, as well as other B&M's with one or 2 clicks to spare. That seat is snug for some reason and I barely fit!

I am 6'3 and 250 lbs and i fit fine on all of the rides so i do not see y he would not be able to fit
Is there a difference in length for any of the seat belts on Raptor?

Am I the only one that seems to always get the seat (MF especially) that must have had a skeleton sit in it before me? I'm normal weight but I get in the seat and the belt's pulled so tight I wonder how anyone fit with it anyways. I finally figured out that most of the time it's because GP pull it SO TIGHT because they don't want to "fall out." My friend Kelly is larger and she absolutely plastered the seatbelt to herself tighter than mine.

Yes, here's another case. My cousin, who is much bigger in the waist than anywhere else fit in the Raging Bull test seat. And they couldn't push the lap bar down when she was on the ride. That's a good point, it could be from years of wear so it's a little loose and locking a little higher.
