Does anyone know if they will enforce the seating police this year again.
I think they will until they get a new coaster, but I really dislike it a lot. What do you guys think, or know.
Hmmm... in their MF FAQ, CP said that they "feel it's the fairest method to all concerned". While I do see what they are talking about, I just don't see how getting a specific seat via luck would be fair (although many times you don't have to be the first people in line to get the seats you want, 5-1 anyone?). I think they should set aside a day to test MF without the seating policy, and see how it goes (they didn't enforce it during AAA day, how did that go?).
I do like the openness of the station, though. It kinda gives you a strange feeling, how it seems so organized and all. Whatever...

AAA day was probably the cause for the assigned seating policy. Long lines for the front. Nobody waiting for the rest of the train.
As for 2001, we will see the return of assigned seating according to Bryan Edwards at No Coaster.
Personally, I think it's fair. Because you don't know exactly how many people are in front of you, you've got a 1 in 18 chance of getting your choice.
This one's got me thinking. Kind of an easy question. What was the last coaster at CP to run with MF style assigned seating and when? Rideman can't answer :)

If I were CP, I would enforce the assigned seating - I'm sure it makes the ride hosts' lives a lot easier.

There was a big line for the front seat at Coastermania last year. I was upset because the line cut off in front of me and I didn't get to get the front seat. But then I just grabbed 1-2.
Of all the times that I rode Millennium Force this past year I never once encountered the seating policy. So if it is put into place I think it probably wont be heavily enforced.

What seating policy?
Speaking as an employee who worked on Raptor last season, assigned seating brings out some of the worst in guests. They wait in line for 1-1.5hrs, in the hot sun and then are told that they don't have a choice where they want to sit. I pity the MF ride hosts. The only time I can remember Raptor having "assigned seats," is in windy weather. That is when we have to tell the guests to fill the entire train or else it won't leave the station!
Awww, c'mon, Scott, don't we all know it's ****************** in ****?

(who suspects that Scott isn't thinking of the same coaster he is...)
Actually, Doesn't Disaster Transport sort of have the same idea? A certain number of people get on the platform and run for it. If your seats taken, no dice Chicago. Not that it matter's that much were you sit on DT and if anybody rides the thing.

Actually DT never crossed my mind, but yes, you're right. But there's still another coaster used the same loading system. Dave still can't play :P

Raptor?...
While that may be true, the Blue Streak used "next 24 riders" system until the "redesign".
This was the system some of us grew up with. The MF system is the best for now. AAA Day was a mess with lines for the front long and no one wanting to ride elsewhere.
How would you like to be in line and see empty seats on the train because people are waiting for the front seat?
For capacity and for the general public this is the best system.
If people were so very concerned about it, then they would fill in the empty seats. That they don't should be indicative of an overriding desire to get a front or a back.
That people line count indicates that this is still the case.
Just make 9 two car trains. =)
I can see it now, a 310' Zyklon :)
As for MF, there isn't a bad seat on the thing. 310 is 310 and 92 is 92 no matter where you sit. The airtime changes, but it's still good in every seat.

Actually, there is another coaster that nobody here has mentioned yet that also allowed only one trainload onto the platform at a time. If I don't get to play, I ought to at least make sure all the bases are covered!

Alright, Mr. Woodstock Express, Wildcat, and possibly Jr. Gemini :)
HA!
So now that I think about it, this is a really bad question. :)

I remember when you used to load on the other side of the track on Blue Streak. I'm not sure, but I think it was about the same time they butchered the trains is when they switched it around. When did they stop that policy on BS? I remember when I was 5 or 6 riding the thing, but I don't remember if their was "assigned" seating. I still have fond memories riding Blue Streak when I was young. Because the good old style bar was a decent distance from my lap, I would float for what seemed forever. Then I got real big and they equipped the seat of the trains with the same armor as a Sherman Tank.. :( :(

'93 was the last season of the two-stop loading. Raptor induced reloactions caused the Blue Streak queue to be moved to it's infield and a reconfig of the loading. It wasn't until a few years later when the trains were "improved"

Don't you mean 310'11" is 310'11" and 93 is 93? :) I just feel like an*****today.
