Seating Arrangments

Will riders be free to choose where they sit in the trains? When MF first opened, you were assigned a seat to ride in as the trains were loaded. Do you think this will play into effect on TTD? I want to be guaranteed a front row seat on my first launch, no matter the wait!

I'm willing to bet on assigned seating for at least the first year.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see assigned seating. You might have to rely on luck-of-the-draw for that front row seat.

At least with less seats you got a better chance. : )
Don't forget there are 2 front rows also.

DragsterFiend420, yes there are 2 front rows for this ride since they will be loading 2 seperate trains at the same time. So that means each train has its own front row. So in turn there are 2 front rows for this ride.

What he means by 2 front rows is that they are loading two trains at once. Each train holds 16 people meaning 32 riders will be loaded at once. With two trains, there will be two front rows with two front seats in each row. The probability of being assigned to a front seat is 4 out of 32 or 1 to 8. Now, if you have a friend, and want to sit with that friend, the odds will be 2 to 32, or 1 to 16. Now if your whole family... Ok, I'll stop : )

They'll definitely have assigned seating because as long as the waits are going to be, everybody will figure "Heck, I waited this long, why not wait for the front seat", and then you have the whole station filled up with people wanting to sit in the front.

TTD- A TOY THAT MILLIONS CAN PLAY WITH...

"i like to post many posts just so i can see my name"

I dont know, But alot of the times i go on MF when they do tell you which seat to go to...Many people still dont get it and just walk to whichever seat the choose. I seen it way too many times.

But, yea there will definatly be seating assignments for most likely the most of this year.

I remember when I went on MF on it's opening day, it wasn't exactally assigned, but they only let enough people onto the platform to ride it. The ride op. wasn't saying "you go into the first row, you go into second" etc. That's probably what they'll do with TTD, just let 32 people in. If you're at the front of the 32 people, then you get to ride front seat. If you're in the back of the 32, you get whatever seat is left over that no one wanted. ;)

I would say they will let 64 people on platform at a time, but keep it in groups of 32. I'm wondering if they will have front-row lines for both loading trains since one train is in the middle of the platform, or if they will have just one front-row line (for the first train) and only load those 2 people every other train. Or they might not even have a front-line queue and just keep 64 people on platform at a time (but with the popularity of the front line, I don't see this happening. Any suggestions on how this might work?

Anybody ever concider that the back seats might be even better than the front? I mean you get to be right next to those cool lookin' tires ;) and you probably wont have as much wind in your face.

This is what i have found on front and back seat launch rides-

In the back, the launch is not nearly as fast, but the air time falling over the tophat is uncomparible, and the rest of the train pulls you hard and fast as you descend down the drop, giving you plenty of air time, and speed going face first to the ground.

However, the front is also a good ride as the launch is a lot faster, and the front car lifts about 1/2 inch off the track (Because the launch cart is near the back), and you get more of that "butterfly" feeling in your stomach. The air to the top of the tophat is awesome, however you slow down a lot over the top, and slowly descend down the drop on the way down.

Thats my info on the front and back seats, and to be honest, i almost ALWAYS prefer the back over the front- on any roller coaster.
