Seat Size Question

Maybe someone can help me with my question. I am a fairly large woman...5'8" over 250 and I am worried that I will not fit comfortably or safely in some of the ride seats, especially TTD and MF. Has anyone had experiences they can share with me? Also are there test seats outside of the line for all or any of hte coasters? Thanks!!
Raptor, Wicked Twister, Millennium Force, and Dragster have test seats. All of the other coasters do not. I think that Power Tower has a test seat too, but I am not 100% sure.

I can't speak for WT, MF, or TTD since I haven't been to the park since those rides were built, but the last time I was CP, I was bigger than you sound and I could ride all of the rides in the park including Mantis, Raptor, and Power Tower.

Hi there!

As stated before, Raptor, Wicked Twister, Millennium Force, and Top Thrill Dragster all have test seats adjacent to the entrance. For all of the other coasters, you are more than welcome to walk up the exit and try out one of the seats on the coaster before waiting in line. Simply as the ride host in the exit area for assistance.

Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip to Cedar Point!

Hey, I just want to let you know, my girlfriend is not quite as big as you are, I won't give out her wait, but she was unable to fit into either MF or TTD, she was able to fit into all the other rides in the park.

TTD-9 Rollbacks-1

it all matters how you carry your weight. i'm not a woman but i'm a large guy ( 6'0 270lbs) and I can fit on everything but some things are a little tight (MF, WT)
Last summer I had trouble fitting in MF, WT didn't happen until I lost 50 lbs., and most of the other coasters were pretty tight fits. Try the test seats. I'm a bit shorter than you are and carry most of my extra weight around my waist. You might have better luck than I did.

Awww, bad day? Take a different perspective on things. Try upside down, a barrel roll, a cobra roll or a corkscrew. Life can't be all that bad when your feet are over your head!

I am 6'2" and I weigh 245 lbs I had a prob. riding WT until I took off my jacket. Once I took off my jacket and rode with a T shirt on I was able to ride. I can't say anything about TTD because I haven't rode it yet, But I am going back on the 19th and 20th of Sept. and I will let you know if I get on . I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying prayers I get on TTD next Friday. I rode MF with no prob.

OK...I started this post and I went to the park this weekend. Here is some info for anyone who needs it. TTD and MF were a no way!! The seatbelt was not long enough. Mean Streak was way too uncomfortable because of the divider between the riders. Magnum was fine. Mantis and Raptor were tight but I fit. So if you are substantially overweight you will have problems. Hope this helps someone.
The day I don't fit will be the day I finally go on a diet. Most of my friends know that day is near.

I will call it the Cedar Point Coaster Diet.

When I plan a trip i go on a mini crash diet the day before, just so i make sure i can fit
Jeremy...This weekend was a real wake up call for me. The worst part about it is that though I am overweight, I am not one of those people you see on TV diet infomercials weighing 300 pounds or more (Thank God!). The rides are just meant for average sized people. It was very humiliating not to mention depressing. Traveled 7 hours to ride TTD and couldn't. What a let down. I started that CP diet today and plan to go back next year!!! Wish me luck!!
sugar - I feel your pain! I'm sorry! :( It gives good motivation to slim down, although it hasn't really helped me yet! I know what you mean about seeing the infomercials and not weighing as much as them...if only those seatbelts were 2 inches longer! :( Now you have something to look forward to next year, riding TTD! :)

Later Wally
i feel for you Sugar.

Maybe we can both do the diet and sell it others and make millions.

On MF if I sit on the lake side it makes it easier to get my belt fastened. I carry my weight around my middle and I am about the same height but 225 lbs. Blue Streak is okay but it's hard to grab hold of the buckle and fasten it when so much of me is in the way. It's so hard to lose weight! My mom went on the Atkins diet and it helped slim her down a bunch, but I am afraid if I do it I will gain all the weight back right away. I just love to eat, I can't help it. Good luck with whatever you are planning to do to lose it! It's hard to do, but just remember how bad you want to ride.
