As a person who has been fat before (over 300lbs), I can understand your embarrassment not being able to fit into a seat. I was actually told to use two seats (bet you can guess where the common armrest was supposed to go...)
190lbs now. And I still drink brews...I just eat less and eat better...

That's almost never true. The belts on various rides always seem to have a few that are shorter than others. Check Blue Streak some time. There are a few belts that are a little more than snug on someone of average waist size.
