Seat restraints

Why is it that the restraints vary from seat to seat on some rides? I am about 6'4", 290lbs. I can ride anything in the park except Wicked Twister. When I ride Raptor, the little belt can be buckled without any problem in some seats, others the ride op needs to buckle it. On Millenium Force the same thing happens. Some seats, I buckle and still have slack and others have to be buckled for me. What really gets me going a few weeks ago on a sunday, my kid and I were walking right on to Raptor, I had already ridden it like 10 times that day. I got into a seat that could not be buckled and had to exit the ride. Why can't they make all the belts the same size? I don't dispute the fact that I need to lose a few pounds. If I am too fat to ride than so be it, but I can ride Raptor and have all summer, but because of a short seatbelt, I had to be embarrassed.
Villiageidiot,

If you fit in one car you SHOULD fit in them all...there SHOULD be no difference.

As a person who has been fat before (over 300lbs), I can understand your embarrassment not being able to fit into a seat. I was actually told to use two seats (bet you can guess where the common armrest was supposed to go...)

190lbs now. And I still drink brews...I just eat less and eat better...

All the seats and restraints are the same on each ride, maybe the seatbelts are different but I doubt it.
I mean seat belts

Seat belts? Do you use those on Coasters?

They do vary from seat to seat on the ride. I think at the beginging of the season, all the belts are equal length, but as the season progresses, belts frey and break. Rather than replacing the whole thing, they just shorten the freyed/broken end, resulting in a shorter belt.

That's almost never true. The belts on various rides always seem to have a few that are shorter than others. Check Blue Streak some time. There are a few belts that are a little more than snug on someone of average waist size.

plus the seats on Wicked Twister are a lot smaller than on Raptor.
What does that have to do with anything? They were made 8 years apart and by different companies.

Jeff, my statement IS true, "You SHOULD be able to..."

Whether or not "you can" is a whole new story...
