Seat modification?

Did anyone else happen to notice the modification made to the seats? The bars that form a triangle on either side of each seat have been replaced for this season. Rather than being a light grey, as they originally were, they have been left exposed and are a shiny, metallic color. My guess is that this was probably done because the seatbelt clips chewed up the paint on these bars all season and didn't leave a pretty sight. The new bars make the trains look much better if you ask me.

Yep, I noticed it as well. My friend actually had to point it out to me after we compared the demo seat at the entrance to the queue and the actual seats (the demo still had the dull gray color). Your guess on why is as good as mine.

Were they actually replaced, or just stripped, as they did with the fence rail last season?

Who didn't ride Millennium Force yesterday.
Stripped... same seats.. they were tired of all the scratches and just decided it was easier and cheaper this way.

So the rest of the seat is still the primer-grey/blue color and just the sides are stripped? Hmmm, I wonder how it would look if they stripped the rest of the spots too? Better or worse?
