Season Pass/Parking

I would like to make a trip to the park only to get a season pass processed... if that's all I want to do, will I have to pay the $8 for parking (I'm not buying a parking pass)?

I ask because I'll be visiting the park for the first time this season with friends who won't have a season pass, and I'd prefer not to make them wait for me to get my pass processed. Thus, I'd like to make a special trip ahead of time just to process my pass, but not if I'll have to drop the $8 on parking...

I appreciate any help someone can give me on this question... Thanks.

If you let the folks at the main toll booth (the one on the far left) know you're just processing a pass they'll have you pay the $8.00 and have $7.50 of it refunded on the way out.

The extra $0.50 is for causeway toll.

However, if you're staying at the Breakers or Sandcastle, you get the full $8 refunded from the front desk.
