Season pass renewal through the mail...

I know that I waited too long to renew my season pass, but I live in Chicago, so I want to do it through the mail because I like to check into my room, then go directly into the park. I am going on June 6th(Sunday) and I want to know if it is too late to send in my season passes so they will get back to me on time. I have done it before, but don't remember how long it took to get back to me, because I ussually did it in December.

Also, I want to know if the JCC is worth it, even if I am staying in the hotel. I believe I get the same ERT, but I'm not sure. So, excluding the money-saving advantages of the JCC (ex. food) is the JCC worth it for me?

Thanks,
Mike

At this point, it would be worth the peace of mind just to get your passes at the Point. You're typically looking at a 2-week turnaround, so even if you FedEx'd you app tomorrow (Tuesday), they might send it on June 1-2 and you might or might not have it by the time your trip is ready to go.

You're looking at maybe a 1/2 hour tops at that time to get your picture taken and pass processed, so I'd recommend just waiting until you get there.

The season pass office is not nearly as busy in June. I think by then the wait should be fairly acceptable.

I wonder if since inheriting Geauga Lake they've seen how a real season pass office should work...

Yeah, I'd say considering where you live and how many times you'll actually visit the Po!nt and with a resort stay each time - forget the JCC. You'll get the same early entrance perk from staying in the resorts. Besides that, the other biggest JCC perk is the transferrable parking pass and since you aren't buying a parking pass that is another reason to forget the JCC. In 3 visits a year JCC isn't worth it just for the food and merchandise discounts.
