Season Pass Question

Ok I purchased a regular Cedar Point season pass this year. The question I have is, am I able to upgrade to a Platinum Pass at Kings Island this weekend? If I can how much would it cost?

I want to say no, but you'd probably be better off calling the park and asking them. My guess would be that since you bought the original at CP, and want to upgrade at KI, that you wouldn't be able to .

You might be able to if you went to CP and upgraded it there.

I believe that you would have to upgrade at Cedar Point's season pass center since you have a Cedar Point season pass.

^Yeah that is what they are telling me. But thats not going happen since I live 3 hours away from the point. I'm going through Cinncy and I want to stop at Kings Island. This is just another reason why Cedar Fair is stuck back in the 70s. I should be able to upgrade my pass at any Cedar Fair park or over the phone...This is complete bull ****...!

^ - why? You bought a CEDAR POINT pass, not a Cedar Fair pass. You should have thought of this when you bought it.

And at only $40 more, its worth the risk of not using it anywhere else, just to have the option if the need arises. At least in my opinion.

^^ Wow, no sympathy for Chris I guess. I kinda understand why he is angry. It would be very convenient for Cedar Fair guests to be able to upgrade their passes at any CF park. This is something I think they should work on implementing.

He bought a Cedar Point season pass from Cedar Point. Kings Island didn't get the 110 bucks for the pass, so why would they sell him a Platinum Pass for only 40 bucks? As they said, he CAN upgrade it to a Platinum Pass, at the Cedar Point Season Pass Center.

Sorry Chris - even though I think its a bummer they won't be able to upgrade you at KI, there's only one entity at fault here, and its certainly not Cedar Fair.

Even if you never planned to go to another CF park, the Platinum Passis the way to go, since parking and Point Perks are included.

Well you guys don't know the whole story. It actually is my friends pass who needs to be upgraded. We were told when the pass was purchased that he could upgrade the pass. We were never told that he had to be at Cedar Point. We even said if we visited Geauga Lake or Kings Island, can we upgrade it. They said yes but failed to mention you have to be at Cedar Point.

Now that we all plan to visit Kings Island we can't simply upgrade the pass. I don't care what park makes the profit, it all goes to Cedar Fair. This is 2008, theys should be able to make this happen. At least thats what I think.

Well, why don't you go buy a shirt at hot topic and try and upgrade it for the difference at Abercrombie? They are owned by the same parent company, but I have a feeling you aren't going to get far.

Cedar Fair is ran by a bunch of nazis. First closing GL and now this...Jeez when will the terror stop!
