Season Pass Processing in August

From past experience, does anybody know what the season pass processing line is like in August. I'm going for 3 consecutive days and figure it will be best to buy a season pass.
i don't even know how they do it... i go to the park and they issue a season pass for me in a few minutes? or do i have to get it in advance?
Just go to the season pass center before you go to the park, near the front entrance. You just pay your money, and then they take your picture and 5 minutes later, you have your pass!

You can go to Meijer or AAA, also, to buy a little certificate for a season pass, but you will still have to get your picture taken at Cedar Point Season Pass Center.

hmm... that's great. thanks!
I doubt you are going to run into any sort of line at that point in the season. You may have two or three other people processing their pass...but it seems unlikely that you will have more than a 10 minute wait.

Seeing as your going in August the line wouldn't be very long at all. But if you were going at the beginning of the season and arrive at the Season Pass Center early in the morning then I would expect a longer line but nothing more than 25 minutes.

I renewed mine in september by mail and when i went on may 11 it was a 1 hour line just for the picture

I'm always dancing and parting in the que lines so if ya see me just yell TEAM RAMROD!!

Thanks for the help everybody.
How does the renewal process work? And when do they go on sale?

This is the first time I've gotten a season pass, and seeing as I live in Canada I can't just come in any time to renew. Although I'm planning one more trip in October.

Is the easiest way to renew at the park? Or by mail? I will be getting one next year, so I'd like to know when to get it so that I get it for as cheap as possible.

Thanks.

By mail is probably the easiest way. They just slap your old picture on a new pass and send it back to you. Minimal effort by you, and you don't even have to leaver the house. If you like standing in lines (even short ones, depending on when you renew) go to the park, but if you don't look too bad in your pic, then renew by mail.
Carnage,

Since this is your FIRST time for a season pass, you will have to go to the park and have aphotot taken. The park has special pass hours in late April (watch the website) or once th park opens you can have a pass processed any day.

Since you have to make a trip in to the park I suggest you wait until the park is open, (but not the first weekend) and then come and have your pass processed.

Old Timer, sorry I don't think I explained myself properly.

I have a season pass right now, for this year. So next year will be my 2nd year with a pass.

Just wondering if I can buy my next year pass when I'm there for halloweekends.

Yes, you can buy your season pass for 2004 during Halloweekends. I bought mine this past Sunday.

Did they let you process the pass as well, or do you have to wait until 2004 to do so? I've got my certificates (Ordered them online) already, and was wondering if I actually could get myself the pass, or if I'll need to go have it processed next year.
I believe they do not let you process your 2004 passes until April. If you are a current passholder, you can mail your certificates in and they will use your current picture.

Now MY question: It's been three years since I had my picture taken, and I'm 20 pounds thinner. Do you think they would take a new picture for me during Halloweekends for us on the 2004 pass? I'd rather avoid having to make the extra trip in April just to get a new picture, but I'd also rather have the thinner me on my pass.

You could always "replace" your "lost" 2003 pass. (Unless they just print a new one with the old picture in that case, too.) $10 might be worth it for a whole new you. ;)

Hmm. I never thought about that. Its too bad they don't let you process your 04 pass. I guess I can kind of understand why, it just would be cool to not have to make the 6 hour round-trip drive in April.

I guess I could always renew by mail too. Probably what I'll end up doing, I just hated my 03 picture as well.

If you've already had a CP season pass (and so therefore already have a picture saved in the computer system) it's best to renew by mail. Send your things in and we'll mail your new pass back to you! Saves you time waiting in line -- all you'll have to do on Opening Day is walk up to the gate.

Remember though, Junior passes cannot be renewed by mail. If you have small children that need '04 Junior passes, you'll still have to plan on waiting in line for the pass to be processed. (You can, however, receive through the mail a Regular 2004 pass for a child who had a Junior pass in 2003, and you can buy through the mail whatever certificates you want).

Season passes are not available at any Meijer, except for the store located in Sandusky. You pay the money, and a couple minutes later, you have your season pass.
