Season Pass Line

Hey all -

My girlfriend and I are heading up on Saturday and she's looking to get a season pass. She's tried calling the season pass center twice this week, but no answer. I was going to order her one online, but no notice if it'd get there before Saturday. So I guess we're left with waiting in that line.

My question is, does the line get shorter by the 3rd day of the season? I'm hoping so, but probably not - those with more experience, can ya fill me in? Thanks

Well, i went this past sunday and the wait was between 2 - 2 3/4 hrs. I dont see it being much more than that, considering sunday was opening day, but i could be wrong. Also, either way, whether you have a certificate that you've ordered or not, you'll have to wait in whatever line is there. (at least it was this way on sunday)

"What is it?"
"I heard it was the worlds largest revolving restauraunt"
"Oh Yeah, well I heard that they melted down wicked twister to make it"

Where is the season pass office relitive to the front gate?

------------------
"Millennium Force, the Future is riding on it."
Now, Cedar Point is "Bulding for the future."
Coincidence?

To the left, just before the front gate. It's pretty clearly marked.

By the way, the line will definitely be shorter than it was on Opening Day, but depending on what time of the day you go, it could be anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour or so.

My boyfriend and I are planning on coming down on Monday the 12th to get our season passes, I was just wondering how long the wait will be then. I think we will get there around noon. Thanx guys. :)

I'd plan on a couple of hours wait. They usually pass out forms to fill out for those who don't have them. It saves a little time.

Opening day there was a line that stretched into the parking lot.

It's a good thing you didn't order it online PittDesigner. I ordered mine online and you need to allow them 3-4 days to process your order and then wait a few more days for the passes to make it to your home. I just got mine on the 6th and I ordered them on April 30th. So, chances are, they wouldn't have shown up by Saturday.

Wow Raptor, yea good thing I didn't get hers online! I ordered my renewall through the 'net and it took them about 2 weeks after they announced that passes were going out to get mine to me.

Ok - yea I knew that the line was long opening day, I was there and it was wrapped around the front entrance island all the way back to the main ticket booths. We're planning on leaving Pittsburgh at about 6:00am so expect to get there between 9 and 930, hopefully that's before the line forms up!

I just have a quick question to build off of this topic. I have not been able to get to the point to get my season passes done yet. I ordered them online and I have the certificates and now we just need to get them done. For those that have gone to the park now the first two days, how has the line at the season pass office looked? Does it look much shorter or longer then when the park wasn't open? Any help would be appreciated. Whether the line is long or short, I'll still have to deal with it, but any heads up would be helpful. Thanks.

Yesterday, I showed up around 11 AM and got a fifteen minute wait door to door; that is, from getting in line to buy my pass to having the actual pass handed to me. So it was blissfully short. I recommend weekdays before school lets out, lines are nonexistent.

So I've got a question. This is my first year I've actually gotten the parking pass on the pass itself (that giant blue "P" thing is new for me). How does that work? Do we just flash that at the parking attendants when we arrive?

What exactly do you have to do? Is there anything I can do now to speed up the process when I get there? (I only have the certificate now.)

Yeah exactly! Just hold it out the window and they let you through real quick. You don't even have to be the driver to use it, but in that case just stop at the booth and lean over or whatever so they can see your pass. The transferable one is great because you can get your friends to drive and waste their gas money ;).

As of now the process is

1. You have to go to the group sales window to either buy your pass or redeem your certificate to get the appropriate paper. You also have to write down a little personal info (name, address, etc.)

2.Get in line towards the back of the office to get your picture taken. Once inside you will hand the paper with the info to the picture taker and get your picture taken.

3. Wait for your pass to develop outside, they will hand the pass you.

The only thing I can suggest it sign your certificates if you already have them, know where to go, and get their early. I'm sure others though can write a book on how CP can speed up the process ;).

I'm going on the morning of the 27th (the day after memorial day) does anybody think there will be any kind of line to wait in.

Also do they have any problems giving a pass to a 16 year old without a parent.

They didn't ask me my age. I'm 18, of course, but I don't think they'll care. Especially if you look 18.
No age does not matter to them, I was getting my season passes alone since like 13 or 14... =)

When I finally made it on Sunday, the Season Pass line was horrible. I got into line @ 9:45 am, and at 11:30 a gentleman in a tie said if anyone in line had a pass last year, we could go to the resort office and obtain a 2003 pass. About 40 people ran over to the office, just to find out that the ID machine was not operating correctly, it took another 45 min to get that working.

I hate to bash CP, but when it takes over 2 hours to get a season pass, something should be done. At PKI the season pass area is three times the size of CP's and they have at least 12 ID stations.

The best thing about Six Flags "Worlds of Adventure" is that Cedar Point is nearby!

I waited 1.5 hours saturday the 17th in that line, while in it , i was thinking why couldnt they stamp your hand when ya turn in your certificates and get the form, and give you a time to return to have picture taken?

just a thought, gave me something to do while waiting thinking up stuff like that.

The season pass line on Sunday afternoon was 2 1/2 hours. It was 4:30pm, so rather than waiting that long line for the rest of the day and spending no time in the park, we just bought Starlight admissions and came back the next morning to be almost first in line at the season pass window. CP refunded the Starlight admissions (obviously with a receipt) when we explained what happened. Sure beat standing in line all afternoon.
