Season Pass Holder Appreciation Weekend

loneranger7281's avatar

I just saw this posted on facebook from PB and on the page on CP's website. I will end up there after the season pass center closes on friday due to work. I wonder if i get my pass done at CB maybe wednesday if they have jackets there. I am not sure if it is a one day thing or not. I know the jackets are not the greatest thing, its just something to have. Any thoughts?

Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved

What exactly are they doing for that weekend? I'll be there that Friday and Saturday so I'm excited about that but didn't really hear what they were doing. I can't wait!! :)

We{platinum pass holders}get into the park an hour early then get an extra 2-3 hours of ride time at night.(last year i rode magnum until 1:30 in the morning) As well as the fact that the park is almost completely deserted on that day. I walked on dragster in the middle of the day last year.

Leave the hypercoaster alone

^Which day was deserted? Friday or Saturday?

Season & Platinum Passholders can take advantage of these special deals, offers and discounts during Season Passholder Appreciation Weekend! We want to say, "THANK YOU" for investing in a summer of fun at Cedar Point! Unless otherwise noted, deals and offers only valid Friday, May 17 through Sunday, May 19.

The jackets are often available on Ebay for under 5 bucks -- they are generic and were given away at all of the Cedar Fair parks not just CP

I'll be there on Sunday, woohoo, free jacket! I knew having a platinum pass would be worth it!

Free is free right? Well kinda free. I did have to pay for the pass.

Yeah, I got an email about it today not too long after I asked the question. LOL! Oh well. Thank you!! I'm SO excited for the ERT!! Plus we get early entry because we're staying at Hotel Breakers so we get even MORE time on the coasters!! It's gonna be a good trip!! And we're going Friday and Saturday so we'll get ERT on Gatekeeper (Friday), Millennium Force and Dragster (Saturday)!! Woo hoo!! I'm so pumped and ready!! I'm even more excited to go!!

According to CP's Facebook posts it is one friend per passholder.

This is random. They didn't ever do a Season Pass Appreciation weekend in May in previous years, did they? I thought this was always the weekend after Labor Day.

Yes, it's earlier this year. But that doesn't mean we won't have other events during the season.

And for "Bring-A-Friend," we literally mean, bring A friend. One per passholder, per day. Where did you get your info from, Dennis?

That's how it was last year for one of the 'Bring your Friend' days. You were allowed to get as many people into the park for $19.99 as you can. But I understand rules change and $27.50 is still a great price for your friend to attend.

This may be a bit off topic, but what do the Platinum passes look like this year?

My KI platinum pass looks the same as the platinum pass from last year and the year before that.

Does this mean free parking for regular passholders as well?

Thanks.

I doubt it. That would be like saying you also get free admission to other parks. I'm guessing it excludes parking.
