I could not find information. Does the season pass center open before the park anymore? I've only been to the park a few times in the past two years so I am kind of out of the loop. Thanks
Not sure what's changing for this year, but I don't think the season pass center is open at all anymore. Here's the previous info:
Season Passes can be processed at any admission gate. Be sure to have your Season Pass voucher handy. We’ll take your photo at the turnstiles and hand you your physical card.
You may also add your Season Pass to the Cedar Point Mobile App and use it electronically. To do this in advance, you can:
Scan the barcode on your ticket voucher with the mobile app to add it to your app for park entry; or
Complete the online processing in advance at www.cedarpoint.com/activate and add the pass to your online profile by typing in your 20-digit barcode.
Yes, the pass center is rendered needless nowadays. All you need to do now is ask for a pass at the gate, and in one scan of the voucher and the actual card, it's yours.
It does bring back memories of years back: going to the park in April to wait in an hour long line to get your photo taken and then another 15 minutes waiting for your pass to be made.

Thank you, big help. We used to make a day of it in Sandusky to get the passes so yes, memories indeed.

Yep, did that for many many years.
I didn't go in 2020 so my platinum pass became 'inactive' and couldn't be renewed for 2021. She made me a new platinum at the entrance. All the entrances have cameras for the pass picture, had my new platinum in less than a minute.

I miss making my hour and a half trip to the park in late April to get our passes. We'd usually make a day trip out of it and stop at the Jolly Roger and in Marblehead on the way home. But I guess it is easier now...
Our annual pre-season trip always involved a visit to the African Safari outside of Port Clinton. That was always a good time.
Just added my 2022 pass to the app today, but I still want a physical card so I don't have to always have my phone on me... Am I understanding the previous posts correctly in that you can just ask for them to make you a physical card at the gate, or is that a season pass center trip?
Here's kind of a stupid question - will they replace our old, worn-out passes at the gate, too? I know there is usually a cost associated with replacing a lost card, but ours are 8+ years old and have seen better days. They're peeling, cracked and rubbed away from being in and out of wallets over the years.
Has anyone had luck replacing/retiring their worn-out cards in recent years?
Yes, I replaced my getting tattered card, it was free.

I don’t recall, have they created separate line for people who already have tickets/passes to just scan and go in? I haven’t been much the past two years.

Kings Dominion offered to replace our worn passes right at the gate. I refused because I like the status of having a pass that's old as dirt and looks different than everyone else's. :) There will come a time when the barcode won't scan though I suppose.

That's half where we're at now, and one of us has a cracked one. The barcodes have seen better days, for sure. They scanned yesterday, though, so not time for a new one yet.
