season pass

Is it possible to purchase a season pass on the 8th when I get to the park? If so, where do I go? If I remember right the season pass center is right in front, but I'm going to be staying at breakers so will I be able to go back to my car and go around the park to the hotel parking?

Any other tips for how to make it as quick as possible would also be helpful.

Thanks,

John

tips for how to make it as quick as possible

That's easy. Do it either the week before the 8th, or several weeks after.

Plan on waiting in the longest line you ever have seen. Last year it was crazy the first couple weeks. I went on a tuesday at 9am and had to wait 3 hours. If you can go before 8th I would do it. It will be worth the trip. Think of it like an extra freeway pass.
Hey, me and my best friend are planning on attending our first Opening Day this year. We will also be buying our first season passes. We are planning on getting to Sandusky (we have about a 2 hour drive) at about 6 o'clock on Friday, the day before Opening Day. I know that the Season Pass office is open before Opening Day but my question is, do you know if the season pass office is still open at this time?? If not, do you know when it closes?? We don't want to stand in line forever on Saturday morning.

what time does the causeway open....unfortunately, getting there ahead of time is out of the question because I'm coming from Grand Rapids, MI....I'm figuring if I get there super early, I can be towards the front of the line and get in closer to the park opening....I would rather be up early and wait in line early than be stuck in a line while the park is open....

also, is it better to purchase the certificates before hand or can I do it all at one place at CP, or am I going to be bouncing between lines to get a season pass...

Last question (this time) if I just purchase a one day pass so I can get in, and come back at say 2 o'clock, will they apply that day's admission to the cost of a season pass...I seem to remember seeing this somewhere a few years ago but I don't remember.

Thanks,

John

Jugg,

Buy your SP's at Michigan's Adventure. An hour drive and several bucks ($10.00?) cheaper.

Are the lines still that crazy later in the day?
I will get to Sandusky on May 23rd, which is a Sunday. Is it possible to get a seasons pass in the evening like 6:00PM-7:00PM?
www.cedarpoint.com has the hours.. Try looking just a little...

To bad I already looked there and it DOESNT answer my question.
It does have the phone number you can call to find out. That way, you can ask the park when the hours are, instead of a bunch of other people who have no idea.

Of course, it is much more pleasant to have others do your legwork for you, but sometimes you've got to take a few minutes out of your day and get on the phone.

Mr. Scott,

I hadn't even thought of doing that. Thanks for the tip.

I know what the park hours are. I wanted to know if they would process your seasos pass at night. I figured that you guys might know since 90% of you people work there.

According the schedule of park hours on the park website, Cedar Point will be open until 8 pm on May 23rd. During the regular operating season, the Season Pass Center is open as long as the park is open, so yes, you will have no problem getting your pass processed around 6 pm at night. You can purchase your passes right at the Season Pass Center, or you can save a few seconds and buy your certificates in advance (you just have to remember to bring them with you ^_~ ). If you have a child that you think is under 48", though, I would wait until getting to the park and having your child measured by park employees before purchasing a Junior pass.

The Michigan's Adventure pass idea is a good way to save money at the Point, especially if you're from the West Michigan region, and would be headed to that park quite a bit over the summer. However, you have to remember that the MIA pass only works at Cedar Point, not both Cedar Point and Soak City, so if you were looking at a CP Combo Pass, that's what you should purchase.

I could care less about soak city, never been there and don't plan on going there at all this summer.

Not sure how much I'm going to get to MA this summer, but at 90 for their pass, its 65 for a 2day to CP so I only need to make up for 25 dollars somewhere which would be another trip to CP or one to MA at some point later in the summer.

Thanks for the help guys.
