Scroll to New Post not working

Greetings,

When I view a topic I've previously viewed, clicking the "Scroll to New Post" button always takes me to the first post in a thread. Even if I'm on a later page in the thread (say, page 4 of 4), if I click "Scroll to New Post" it'll reload the first page of the thread. Since I'm often going back to threads in which new replies are posted (that's pretty much the case 95% of the time), it's cumbersome to have to manually "find my place" in each thread to read new replies.

Is this a known issue or should it be working differently? I am using Firefox 2.0.0.3 in OS X.

You need to mark the forum read in order for it to keep your place.

Ahh, interesting. I'm used to forums that keep track of which threads you've read (such as the Invision software I run on my forum), as opposed to your having to manually mark when you're done reading a forum. I usually use the "Recent" link at the top of the page to catch up on any updated and/or new threads, so I'll have to make it a point (no pun intended) to "Mark All Forums as Read" link on the main page when I'm caught up.

Yes, this forum doesn't work that way. I don't think the next version will either. It just never quite works the way I'd like when I go from one computer to the next.
