My problem wasn't with that call, it was with the drive at the end of the 2nd quarter. Instead of keeping the ball on the ground, pounding away at the line and the clock, he has Pryor throw on first and third down, giving USC over a minute to get in field goal range!
But anyway, I love watching football and baseball games on the big screen during Halloweekends. Its actually becoming a big part of Halloweekends that I look forward to. Its nice to take a break from the insane crowds and just relax and watch a game on the screen.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
^ Yes that too... Just run the ball four times and go to halftime. Why try to score more points then and not on the goal line? I don't get it. And also doesn't Petry have the leg to kick a 50 yarder instead of punting it at the end? It is so frustrating. If I were the defensive coordinator I may have to punch the offensive coordinator in the face....

Chuck Wagon, it's interesting you should say that. A few days ago I received an e-mail from the park site asking me to take a quick survey. I did, and it seemed to be all about Starlight Experience vs Hot Summer Lights. How did I rate each one, and how important to my visit were they? And so forth.
My author website: mgrantroberts.com.
I realize that Hot Summer Lights is very popular, but I have always wished they would have located the screen in a different spot.
I think the big white screen detracts from the appearance of the park. I miss the view that the screen is blocking.

I definitely don't have the info to say whether the laser show is a success from year to year, but they seem to do a survey on it every couple years to ask guests what they think. That seems to imply that they are not entirely happy with it, but take it for what it's worth.
Personally, I think the laser show from each year stinks in terms of quality, but that's just my opinion. I'd rather they invest the money somewhere else. It seems to me that laser shows in general have become like IMAX, mainly a novelty with little fresh content.

I seem to recall seeing a map of the park just before they put the screen in that DID show the screen in a different location. I believe it was somewhere over by Soak City? It appeared they made a last minute change and now it's were it resides today. Am I crazy? Does anyone else remember this map? I think it was posted online somewhere or in a pre-season guidebook.
