scrambler news

I noticed while riding the scrambler for the first time this year that there is no longer a hand brake on the controls.

There is however, a new shiney box and all new electrical control system for the ride.

This is the first scrambler that I have seen with this type of control system on it.

Anybody else notice this?

That was there last year also. Seams like they put a modern control system on it, now if they would only lengthen the cycle time, it would be great. The new control system seems to bring the ride up to speed slower, so not long after it hits top speed it starts to slow down.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Sounds like that they replaced the rheostat and hand brake with a vector type motor control. It has adustable ramp up and down times and accelertation and braking rates. Forty five second ramp up, forty five second ramp down. No skill required by the operator like in days of old.
In addition to noticing the automated controls, both me and my son agreed that the ride has a faster speed this year. Still not as fast as others we have been on, but at least it is better than last year.
