I am not sure, but it looks like the hub of scrambler is sitting in the middle of the midway. You can see it on the pagoda cam.
I know it may just be part of its annual maitnance, but I have never seen them dissmantle the entire ride like this before.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Ride rehabs vary from year to year. Every few years, a ride will get an extra thorough rehab. I remember last year, Troika was completely disassembled.
Yes, Troika got what appeared to be a full strip down last off season. It seems to me that it's running much better now too. Over the last few years, all the arms weren't fully extending.

There are a couple of trouble spots on a Scrambler that very seldom get the attention they deserve in fixed parks. Three are the top unit pole bearings, which have a defined service life (it's on the order of four or five years) and another is the main bearing at the bottom of the centerpole. That one also requires an inspection every few years, and the only way to see it is to either take the ride apart, or look at it as the center is coming off the back of a truck.
Well, since Cedar Point's ride hasn't been on a truck in about 40 years, their option is to tear the thing apart...

^I'll say no after the problems they had...I'm not ganna take my chances (pun intended :P)
Take a chance, ride a chance :P
I second the no thanks to Chaos. It was a fun ride, but a maintenance nightmare...Not to mention other things that I won't say on here. TheDevarious worked at the Point this summer, he probably knows what I'm talking about
Chaos is typical of a lot of late model Chance rides. They have issues with access to critical areas mechanically, and the electrical systems can give you a coronary. I've yet to talk to a ride mechanic that has had to deal with one complain about the removal of a Chaos.
As I have often said--
Wherever you see a Chaos, you will also find a man in a blue shirt who is either working on the Chaos, has just worked on the Chaos, or is about to work on the Chaos.

I don't think anyone here even knows if it was ever sold. It may be in storage. It may have ended up on the scrap pile.

Parts of Chaos were kept in break area behind 3 Point Shoot Out (where Chaos previously was). As the season progressed, parts of the ride were slowly removed from that area and now it's unknown. Probably inside Disaster Transport or in the middle of Mean Streak.
If they had stashed the Schwabinchen in the Disaster Transport building after taking it down, that ride might now be operating at Stricker's Grove...

With the condition Stickers got it in, they decided it wasn't worth making it operable again. Or so I've been told.

Yes; remember when Cedar Point took it out, it was an old beat up ride, and then they stuck it in the dormitory parking lot for two or three years before selling it.
I happened to be at Stricker's Grove the day it arrived, but my understanding is that they sold it rather than try to rehabilitate it. I don't know where it went; my guess is that it either went to Mississippi or down to South America, two places where old rides go to retire.

Strikers grove has bought a pirate boat ride(like ocean motion) that is set to open next year.

I just assumed they scrapped it. The pirat ride would have been open this year, had they not run into problems. It fits in nicely where it's at. The other thing (I heard, but can't confirm) is that when they moved the flyers between the 2 woodies, they got a bit too close to tornado and hit it causing some minor damage. After that they ran it at a slower speed. I'm hoping it gets moved again so it can be brought back up to full speed.

Well, we hope the boat fits in nicely. Both the Tornado station roof and the tree look awfully close!
I understand that Stricker's Pirat came from LeSourdsville Lake, where it had been rebuilt in that park's last year of operation.
