school starting

Hey,when is school starting for everybody?

I live in Boardman Ohio and school starts September 2nd, most schools in Ohio go back September 3rd.

I live in Strongsville Ohio and school for those students starts August 28th. Some schools go back this week, but most go the end of next week or after Labor Day.

Galion, Ohio goes back on the 26th. I was wondering if the attendance during the weekdays will go down a little since some people start school today.

GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.

Most of the schools around Sandusky now go back after Labor Day. Good for them! It's the way it should be. :)

Alabama started school the beginning of August.

Ottawa, OH starts August 25th. Most schools around me start this week or the 25th or 26th.

School's in west virginia(ohio county) start august 26th. When i was in school, classes did not start until after labor day. They should go back

to that system again. In the local newspaper, there was a poll question-

Do you think schools should be year round? The vote was about 50/50.

Does anybody think that is a good idea? I do not and i bet amusement

parks and swimming pools do not either.

Why are the sandusky schools starting after labor day anyway? Was there something I missed?

Because Cedar Pont patitioned for a later start, and the Sandusky school system went along. This is supposed to help Cedar Point with attendance during the last 2 weeks of August.

Why ride coasters? Becuse there is NOTHING better to do than riding a coaster!

I remember when they started going back to school in Augustin our town. I t was in 1978-79 school year after the terrible winters of 1977 and 1978 which we missed 17 days 1976-77 and in 1977-78 we missed 13. An early start was supposed to be an early end of the year if no calamity days were needed But at least in my area now the kids have 2 weeks for Christmas, MLK Day, semeseter break etc. The kids have to go 180 days no matter when the year starts. Also high schools have already stated their seasons. Week one of Friday Night Lights in the Buckeye State starts Friday. Here in Ashland thats what everyone is talkin about especially since AHS has gone 24-3 the last 2 years.

Our schools in Ky, started August the FOURTH!.. yeah that's insane. And we don't get out any earlier either.. right around the middle/end of May. Lucky for me I'm in college, but mine still started earlier this year than usual, August 15th.
