scenary around mf

hey more trees cut out on island think of riding paddlewheel now just looking at mf and how the trail will look what a difference
After looking at the new air shots, I think CP did a good job saving as many trees as possible. Give it a year or two, and the area should grow back pretty well.

There are a fair amount of trees within the first turn on the island, but there aren't any within the overbanked turn. I wonder if they are going to put some there.
they planted trees around were the Wheel turn is
Its winter! We won't be able to tell until the leaves grow back. So lets wait to talk about this till April Ok, Thank you.

perhaps the frontier trail is on it's way out. Why else would they drop this awesome futuristic machine in the middle of it? (they could've given it some hokey frontier themeing and painted it to match the trees). Not to mention the bottleneck that MF will be creating- does anyone else see the problem from the illustration- the trail goes from about 20ft wide to about 5ft (my estimates may be wrong) at the tunnels that lead to and fro the island? Will there be a path under these tunnels?
I agree with JonC-from the illustration it looks like Frontier Trail has been cut down considerably. But, can they completely close it seeing that it is a major walkway to the back of the park?

oh, i don't mean they're going to close off the trail, i mean that they're eventually remove the cabins and such and replace them with more rides. i also see the eventual demise of the paddlewheels/lagoons; i'd hate to see the lagoons go.

There will be plenty of room for traffic on the trail.

I got a question, Jeff you might be able to answer this. I was at the Point the weekend before it closed. I went on the Giant Wheel and took some pictures of the MF construction area. Now unless they cut down more trees, Frontier Trail had lots of trees. When you went there in November Jeff did they say that they had to cut down more trees?

Except for the island, no significant number of trees were removed from the construction site after the park closed.
