Scared of Rollercoasters

Well I have a friend who is scared of the rollercoasters. I'm trying to debate on wether I should bring him with me to CP or to just bring someone else. Do you guys know about any good ways to get him to like the rollercoasters?

Any feedback, Thanks

I took my boyfriend two weeks ago and he was afraid of rollercoasters but we started small and he ended up loving them and got on MF and TTD twice... maybe your friend has been on them and knows he doesnt like them though... =(

Ya I would start with small ones them work up to the big ones.
Just like skipper said, if he knows he doesn't like them, like he's been on them before, then I wouldn't take him. But I was like that. Rides at the county fair scared me to death, and made me sick, but a few years back I went to Cedar Point, and started off small and now I'm a CP fanatic! If he's been recently and rode recently and doesn't like it don't bother. Though, if he rode a ride a while ago, and didn't like it, he might now. Just talk to him about it.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

I have pretty much always been freaked out by coasters, but the more i've ridden, the more I loved them! If you're gonna take him, be patient while you take him on some of the smaller stuff first. You know, like hit the iron dragon and the mine ride. Hopefully in due time he won't be able to get enough and he will be a suitable companion any time you'd want to go.

I am also planning on bringing a friend who is scared of roller coasters. Just 2 years ago I wouldn't go on anything bigger than Mine Ride. I then went on Millennium Force, I was very scared but I go on everything now without thinking twice about it.

Now even though starting out with the small rides sounds logical I think it is a idea. Go on Millennium Force or Top Thrill Dragster first. After going on the biggest coasters around the person has no reason to be scared of the smaller rides.

My boyfriend is a non coaster rider, not because he doesn't like them exactly, more of a panic disorder that makes it uncomfortable for him. I paid his way anyways and still enjoyed my day with him. I also brought along a riding friend though so i didn't have to wait and ride alone.

I go to CP for the coasters and arcade so i had a pretty even split of both that day, my ride buddy was a bit impatient however and ended up off on his own.

So if this person isn't important as in married/dating status I would opt for a ride buddy.

It also depends on how much YOU go to the point. If it is a once-a-year trip, don't bring him in fear that you will be stuck riding coasters alone (not saying it's a bad thing) or not riding at all. If you live close or go at least a couple of time a year, than I would bring him to try to conquer his fear, or if he doesn't budge...

DON'T LET HIM SPOIL YOUR TRIP.

Just ride some non-coaster rides, enjoy the LIVE E, enjoy the great food (sarcasm.), or go to an arcade.

No matter what happens, you WILL HAVE FUN.

Yeah i had a friend who had been to CP tons of times before and really hated it he wouldnt even ride the mine ride. but i told him hey im goin and if u want to come along you he said yes so that week before we went i let him watch the videos of the rides on there website and got him all syked up. as soon as we walked in he was readdy to go we started on the force and went after that to ttd to ride in the front
yeah go on millenium 1st and never will he be scared again. (its my own secret remidy) he he he.
