Scared of riding TTD

With all of the breakdowns and malfunctions on TTD lately I am now getting a little nervous about riding this Beast. Well, I guess them closing the ride down for malfunctions makes me feel a little safer. At least they have the decency to shut the ride down for the littlest thing unlike Six Flags would do. By now if Six Flags could have maybe finished the ride there would have been 5 deaths and the ride still would be running. But.......back to the subject, has the ride closings made you feel more nervous or safer riding TTD???

Im not any more scared of riding it than i was the very first time i saw it. Every coaster has problems, but it doesn't make me any more uneasy than it did before. Thats just my thoughts though.
Not sure about the deaths, most of the malfunctions are computer related, and really don't pose much of a threat to anyone.

Yea, its all technical malunctions...They dont do anything to the rides safety. Your probably more in danger standing under the ride itself ;)

Just as everbody else has said, from what we can see it's not down due to safety issues but just the fact that it can't function correctly. The worst that could happen is that you'd get launched halfway down the track and get stuck. They are making sure this is safe though, example being taking off the tires and engines from the back of the trains.

Please guys, Six Flags isn't that bad. It is not owned by Satan. Don't make stupid claims about them that make no sense.
Oh please. These rides are magnificently engineered for safety and assurance. I am not scared to ride a coaster just because it has broken down a lot. If the cable snapped on TTD and killed a bunch of people, THEN I would be a little nervous about riding, but [almost] every problem TTD has had has not directly effected people standing by, so I wouldnt worry.
Well the RUMOR has it(not saying it's true) thate the anti-rollback breaks are malfuntioning and THAT is a major problem that can endanger lives and has to do with the riders safety. And hey Phillip..........ever heard of a joke???

While we all know of the customer service problems at Six Flags, this comment is just ridiculous. Six Flags rides are fine, it's the service that could use improvement.

but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!

The problems with Top Thrill Dragster are mechanical - not safety related. I don't care what RUMOR you heard. And we all could have done without the Six Flags comment.

If I had a dollar for every urban legend and rumor that I get via e-mail each week, I wouldn't be at work right now. Some people will believe anything.
