While looking through my collection of old amusement park books and postcards I noticed that Euclid Beach Park's main gate is still standing nearly 40 years after the park closed. It was preserved and is now a landmark. Then it hit me, why can't the same be done for Geauga Lake's? It'd honor the 119 years of history there plus not completely wipe the park off the face of the earth. Has anyone else thought about this?
Hey, Is this heaven? No, it's Cedar Point
I don't know that there is much historical significance to the main gate itself seeing as it was completely rebuilt under the Six Flags regime. There may be some historical significance to the 'ball room' but I would bet that building doesn't meet today's building codes.

-Walt Disney
The archway to Euclid Beach has some historical significance and is used as a driveway to the residential buildings that sit where the park was. Geauga Lake's main gate was originally under and through the Big Dipper, the present gate really does not have much historical significance, and you can't easily build a road through it.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
