Satellite Photos

I've seen on here a few times of really cool satellite photos. I tried looking for some but all I could find was really small and you couldn't distinguish much.

What is a good site I could find closer shots or diffrent parks?

The google earth photo is no where near the resolution of the other pic.

Just to answer the inevitable questions...

I created that image from a much larger MrSID image provided to my by the Erie County Auditor. It cost $2 and was on CD.

It's a HUGE image in order to maintain the high resolution. I experimented with compression but it didn't yeild satisfactory results.

When I graduated from school, I coudln't host the image any longer so bholcomb volunteered to host the image on his server. Many thanks!

Great Job Guys.

Seth, this image seems to be about 2000-2001, do you have any idea if the county would have anything more recent? If, so I might consider doing something similar.

I have the most current image from the county, which is from 2003. I'll see if I can find it this weekend.

I don't live in Sandusky anymore, so I dont' really have the opportunity to swing by the auditor's office to get the latest CD, but like Walt said, they did another flyover in 2003...perhaps they'll do a new one this year or next...

Is there any place you don't have to download something. I've been to TerraServer.com but the shots there are from way up and you can't really find anything in the photo.

The area looks so small where TTD was placed. I'm very interested in the 2003 view.

I know, a lot of places havnt been unscrambled on google earth because they have to do the whole world, not just CP.
