Santa Hustle Dec 11th

Just wondering if anyone is planning on going to the Point for the Santa Hustle. My daughter and I will be heading there this year.

It's not often that we get to be inside the park in December!

FYI....we are doing the 5K -NOT the Half Marathon!

My husband and I are doing the 5k as well. Doing a combination of walking and running.

Stuff like this makes me wish I lived closer...

So technically since people are allowed in the park photos of the progress of Meanstreak would be allowed assuming the race goes back that way. Or at least at a minimum a verbal update of what is happenning.

There will also be people in the park on Sunday for the Ride Warriors Club Christmas Party. Not sure if they will be taken back by Mean Streak though but Im sure a question or two will come up about it.

Unless they forbid questions about it like they did at Coastermania Q&A

According to the Santa Hustle website, the courses for both the 5k and Half Marathon pass very close to MS's entrance, and the Half Marathon passes it twice on the Perimeter Road. Assuming that's the case, there will be plenty of photo-taking opportunities (unless, of course, they decide to ban that).

Which I would fully expect to happen. Im sure Tony will state that in his initial comments to the group.

Watching it now(10am) on the web livecams. Good number of vehicles in the parking lot,all the way to the 'security' tower.

Well that was annoying. They changed the course so we didn't get anywhere near Mean Streak. All I could see was the very top of the biggest hill.

We had a great time, didn't expect to get too close to Mean Streak area. But still had good time through the park. Got to see The Grinch, big family of snowmen, Ralphie in his bunny suit, many Santa's and Mrs Claus, Eeyore, Marty Moose, even a guy running in sandals! So many great costumes, was nice to see everyone have a fun time...we even got cookies!

Even got to say Hi to Gatekeeper Peggy!

***Also got to see Buddy The Elf I so badly wanted to ask...what's your favorite color?

My daughter finished before me, she did get to see a proposal at the finish line.
