Sandusky Schools
When do the Sandusky schools go back? I know quite a few schools here in Michigan go back after Labor Day. I have heard the last week of August is a great time to go, so I am hoping they will be back?

I think this has come up before, but I can't seem to find the thread.
Whether the Sandusky City Schools are in session or not has no effect on crowds at Cedar Point. If Cedar Point has an average daily attendance of 30,000 (guess), and each one of the 4,700 students in Sandusky went to Cedar Point, would you notice a difference?
That said, schools in the Midwest generally are back in session anywhere between mid-August to mid-September. This is also reflected in the Cedar Point calendar when the park starts to close at 8pm during the week.

Since when does school going back have nothing to do with the CP crowds. The park is dead when schools go back and every Fri night there is a local football game, there are some of the smallest crowds I've ever seen. And those family vacations, I dont think they happen when school is in session. Thats all I wanted to know. Thanks

Sandusky schools have little to know effect on CP's attendance, but Midwest region schools of course will. There may be a drastic decrease in attendance when Sandusky dose go back next Wednesday, because CPo!nter01 will not be there like usual.
I'd expect the park to be fairly dead next week anyhow.
