Sandusky Register online sucks!!!

Last Sunday (22nd) after we left the park, we stopped at Micky D's on 250. In the newspaper stand I saw a front page article "When Lawyers get to the Point". I didn't buy one, thinking I would check it out on their website.

I forgot about it all week and just checked. I found the article, but found out you have to subscribe to read the content. I understand the reason with the amount of people that are online anymore. But just to read ONE article! Give me a break!!!

Did anyone happen to get it to see what it was about?

If you could read the newspaper on the internet, why buy a subscription??

I'm sure "When Lawyers get to the Point" has nothing to do with CP. There are other things in life besides Cedar Point. You should get out more often.

In fact, the entire article was about Cedar Point. Be careful before you comment on what you are sure about. The article talked about all of the lawsuits the park is facing. Some of the claims in these suits were humorous.

There are other things in life besides Cedar Point? Surely you jest!

thanks gemini-i was curious.

MrCoaster-what I am getting at is some people don't read papers on a regular basis. But would like to check out certain articles once in awhile like I already mentioned. Normally I don't care, but when I hear about a story involving CP,I want to find out about it. I would have no problem with signing up free for a small limited use of the online paper. But when I can't even read ONE article, that's terrible.

CP is a way of life!! Where else can a person go and forget about everyday life!!

Lawsuits? What sort? The employee getting sick?
I used to read the Sandusky Register daily until they started charging.... I then sent an email saying I wouldn't pay to read their news..... then they sent me a nice email informing me that they later reduced the price of the online subscription! Still I said no thanks!!! It's not worth it!

What were the lawsuits? Does anyone know?
Getting back to the situation with the Register...

Trouble is, I don't want to buy a subscription to their online newspaper if I am only interested in three or four articles a year...spread throughout the year. More and more newspapers are doing this with their online delivery...I think what they should do is form associations where a single subscription fee gets you access to 'n' stories in all the participating newspapers, then they could split the revenue according to traffic. Or something like that. It's just that the newspaper subscription model doesn't apply to most of us who read newspapers off the Web.

The New York Times allows purchasing of individual articles from their archives for a few bucks. This model would fit Dave's access pattern.
