Sandcastles suites in 2008
I know many of you are faithful Lighthouse Point frequenters, but I was wondering if anyone was thinking of Sandcastle Suites since the renovation over the winter? How was it before? How nice do you think it will be? I have always stayed at Breakers Express before and I honestly don't mind it, but the girlfriend has made it clear, that if she is going, we are not staying there again. (Really long, painful to read story!) So, unless I go solo or find another girlfriend before June, I have to find a new place.
Just wondered what you guys thought.

I have not tried the "real" Breakers. I'm open to any options. I don't mind going to an independent hotel if that pleases her, but I kinda like getting into the park early, so I'm hoping for a CP resort.
BTW...I've read some on the downsides of Sandcastle in another topic that I didn't see before I posted this. (My apology to the PointBuzz gods!)

I love the Breakers for the location, pools, hot tubs, and a great sunrise on the beach if you are up a 5 am. If you are staying in the older sections of the hotel you just have to know what you are getting yourself into. The suites with the screened in porches are really nice, but that will set you back about the same or more than lighthouse point. Also if you stay on the first floor, it can be kinda busy outside your door at the breakers, but you can request not to.
