Sandcastle Suites Vs. Breakers Hotel Lakeview Suites

I have stayed at the Sandcastle Suites the past 5 years and was thinking about staying at the Breakers Hotel this year because of the newly refinished rooms. What I am wondering is what is the noise difference? Sandcastle Suites is very peaceful and quiet. Very little noise can be heard in the rooms. How does the Breakers Hotel compare in this category? I was planning on staying in the Towers in a lake view suite.

I suppose Towers would be quieter than east, it's far enough away from the evening social activity there around the the lounge and the veranda, and I'd guess the higher up you go the better. You'd be looking down on Fridays or Soak City.

The nice thing about Breakers is the walk to the gate(s) is a little shorter, there's better restaurant options, the bar is nice, and it might be worth it to catch the refreshed hotel in the first season. The nice thing about Sandcastle is that it's secluded, the pool and beach seems private, and you can watch Magnum go around.
But I don't know from your question if you're there for an overnight or a week, or what? What time of year? Weekday or weekend? I'd think those things would determine how likely you'd be to take advantage of resort options other than days at the park.

So offhand I'd say try Breakers. And since you're an annual visitor, if you don't like it as well then back you go the next time, right?

I go once a year and most times it is usually for 2 to 3 days in the middle of the week in late June. Although this year I am going to go the weekend after Memorial Day. This will be the first weekend I have been there since I was a kid. Its that old decision of staying with what you know or trying something new. The only reason I wanted to try Breakers was because of the fresher rooms but I didn't want to feel like I was still in the park when I went back to the room. That is exactly why I like Sandcastle Suites so well because of the feeling of a private resort. If they ever redo Sandcastle's rooms it will be a no brainer.

I would try the Towers. We stayed there on there lakeside in a suite this weekend and once the patio door was shut I didn't notice any outside noise. We loved the refreshed rooms in the Breakers- definitely worth it for us to stay there.

Thanks. I believe that is the way I am leaning. A closer walk and nicer rooms would top off an already enjoyable trip.
