How much business does Sandcastle Suites do? It seems as though the more ticket prices go up, the more reluctant people will be to stay here...especially with Lighthouse Point coming.
As far as I know, they have been booked solid. We made reservations in April once for a night in June and the Only room they had left was the Grand Vista Suite. It was a nice room, but for $400, the Car Would have been a better choice. There is nothing like relaxing in a whirlpool after a ride on the Mean Streak though.
We have stayed there the last 2 years and it's been booked both times.
LOL--Sandcastle books up very early in the year--especially the Grand Vista Suites! It seems to get a lot of repeat visitors.

Sandcastle is a cash cow for you economists. I am sure that CP wishes they would have built a couple of extra floors onto each wing. The view from the Grand Vistas is better than the tower Horizons, IMHO.
Every last room on that peninsula, and even those that they own on the mainland, is without question the best real estate they have in terms of generating revenue.

I am sure within the next 10 years we will see additional resort improvements happening at the Point..... I think we will see something happen with the Suites to add more rooms!

I must say my Grand Vista Suite ROCKED HOUSE. 3rd Floor too. If I was Bill Gates, I may have enough money to stay in that room for a whole week. If anyone has ever stayed in GVS 3rd floor, think, we have slept in the same bed*.
*(not at the same time though thankfully)
I agree Joe! I've seen every single room on the property, and I think the third floor Grand Vista Suite is the very best! (even better than the Presidential Suite)

I feel so honored. I have stayed in the best room at the point. They even gave me a box of chocolates!
The best room in the place is the Presidential Suite. Grand Vista is a close second, but not quite the top of the line.

The Presidential *is* quite nice, but its not as exquisite as you'd expect it to be. Its just basically a Horizon suite with an HR2Q tacked on. The larger dining room and living room are the only major benefits, and they are very nice. But I think the Grand Vistas are more intimate and offer a gorgeous view of the sunset over Marblehead.

I loved the layout of the GVS. You could run around in a circle, and when you take a bath, watch TV. Sunset is the best, since you can actually look west. Mean Streak does look beautiful at sunset, and that is a plus of the location. I have not been privileged to stay in the Presidential suite yet, so I can't compare. The best "room" at CP would have to be 1-1 R on Millennium Force.
