Salt Water Taffy

Does anyone know if CP makes their taffy in the park or if they buy it from some provider? I looked closely at the box but I couldn't find anything.
Sadly, they stopped making their own taffy several years ago. I don't know where they get the taffy, but last time I had some, it tasted exactly like some I had bought at Wal-Mart.
Yeah, I knew the minute I tasted it just didn't taste like fresh taffy I've had. My parents tried telling me they made it at CP but I just didn't believe me. THey still insist on buying it everytime we leave though.
Yeah, I still buy the taffy every time I go. The one I had tasted fine to me, but that goes to show you how much I care.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

What shop did you get the taffy from, out of curiosity?

At the front of the park by the Pizza Patio. And also in Toot Sweets in the back of the park. I think they have it other places too, I'm just not sure.

im not 100% sure on this but... Brummer's chocalate store in vermillion DOES supply CP with candies, not sure on which ones
The concession stand near DT and the Space needle also is a place where you can get the salt-water taffy. I've never had fresh taffy, but have heard that it is way better than the stuff CP has. However it is tradition to get taffy at the point, so I usually get it at least once a summer.
I also get my taffy at the shoppe near DT. I'll just grab it on my way out or if I'm in the area. The fudge there, is also pretty good. I suppose they don't make their own fudge, do they?

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM The fudge is the best!
I think they still make the fudge, and that fudge is some of the best I've ever had.

I wish CP still made their taffy, it was good back then. I also enjoy Cedar Point's Fudge.
I don't know if they are even still in business, but for a great many years the candies at CP were made on site by Coffelt's of Springfield,OH. They had a taffy pulling stand and later a facility on the Frontier Trail that made fudge, brittle and hard candies
Coffelt's is still in business, and as a matter of fact for the past season or two they have been running a concession at Kings Island, including a cart right inside the gate.

http://www.coffeltcandy.com/ concentrates on their Old Town operation, but there are a couple of photos on the site that show their stand at Cedar Point some decades ago.
