I hardly see this as a negative.

What time does the water show start?

Well, the writer sure as heck didn't make it sound like positive news! Typical media.

It doesn't sound like anyone used it anyway. Seems "very insignificant". Wonder how many total fares they had in 2003. 100? 500? That number would have helped put the announcement in perspective...

Hey, I heard a rumor that Millennium Force is sinking...

To see what I, a patron of the RTA-Six Flags route for three years have to say about it, click here. RTA claims it was because they anticipate lower ridership, which is understandable, but I have my theroy as to what the real #1 reason is.

Six flags was subsidizing the route.

As a person who has worked at that park for 5 years now, this is definatly not a negative thing. In fact I would not be surprised if Geauga Lake had something to do with the route being cancelled.

They had plenty of fares considering the real business was with the employee cliental. Which, trust me its good riddence to some of these kids who can only get here by bus. Those 500 you guessed before was right, for a day. Heck, maybe just the morning runs. All being rowdy, immature, rude, violent employees. Im glad about this news.

Hey Vinnie, are you the Vinnie who is my sup?

Anyway, I found out about this last night, but could not post it, as I was a Person In The Know(tm), when it came to that issue.

I was not happy when I heard the news, but if what you post here is right, maybe this is a good thing.

Well, I see this as another step forward for Geauga Lake and I will leave it at that.

I have mixed feelings about this. In 1996 and 1998. I took this route to Geauga Lake. It was my only way to get there. And yes the ride was annoying and crowded on the way back. I think I was the only non employee on the bus. I kind of felt sorry for those kids as the trip to and from the transit station was slow. Just imagine it everyday. Remember there are people you don't have cars and this way be their only way to the park.
Seems like canceling the bus route will reduce the number of unsupervised kids at the park. Which is a good thing.

There is no doubt that the bus route cancelation is a good thing for the park. And i would imagine that RTA stopped the route because of the trouble people caused on it daily on their commute to "work".
Well now peaple can just drive to Geauga Lake now.
