Route 4 or Route 250

I honestly searched for this, but couldn't find a direct answer.

This is the first time I will be driving to CP. (Watch out!) I will be coming to CP on the Turnpike from the west. In the past, we've taken Route 250, but would Route 4 be better? I've heard that there is construction on 250.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to my first trip this year!!
Well I am not sure on route 4's condition but I would not recommend 250. There is construction. It's only going to take them 2 years to widen the road. But that is another story. I always take the backroads to Sandusky. If I were you Either take route 4 or email me and I will instruct you on the backroads to Sandusky. My email is in my info. I can only imagine 250 is a big mess now. And even without the construction it is hard enough for the cars in front of you to do 50MPH.

It's Dan K's fault.
Rt. 4 is down to one lane on the way for about 2 miles.

Take Route 4 (Exit 6A, Mile 110) North to Route 2 East to Route 250 North. It is the quickest way I have found from the west on the turnpike. If you look at this map you can see the way...

Take Rt 4, 250 is /was a mess a week ago...
aaaaaaaaaaaavvvvvvvvvvvoooooooooooiiiiiiidddddddeee(avoide)250
BUT....what if your hotel is on 250.....what do you do then...???!!!

Which part of 250 is messed up and how much? (from the turnpike to the park)....

I gotta get to Sports City somehow....any suggestions??? I think there is an east/west highway very close to it....

Construction does not start until about mile south of Rt. 2. There is no construction or anything else to be concerned about north of Rt. 2 (which is where everything is, anyway).

Now I don't drive that way on a regular basis ... but I did drive to Norwalk the other day from Rt. 2 and I didn't think it was that bad. Granted, it wasn't a Saturday at 10:30am, either.

Rt. 250 in Norwalk was a different story :)

Ha, yeah Rt. 250 in Norwalk (my Hometown) that is a joke. Sewer separation, separating the storm sewer from the regular sewer. Not finished till December, is the latest word I am hearing.

Matt(who sometimes compares Norwalk to a certain song from Live...$%## town)

Thanks Everyone for your information. I will probably take route 4, then play it by ear. I am a better navigator than a driver, so I guess I'll see. I just can't wait to go to CP!!

When you visit CP, visit my Mill, est. 1835
Rt 4 is a nice quiet drive compaired to 250, but be careful and pay close attention, rt 4 goes through the heart of the neighborhoods in sandusky and if you don't pay attention, you could easily get lost!! If there is any other way to take than the turnpike, take it! I think the turnpike is a long boring drive!!! I'm from MI and i always take rt 2.
