Rougarou Valley

We were there from 220-940pm. Rougarou was a walk on and three trains. The only coasters with any kind of line were TTD and Maverick. MF was a 10 minute wait at most and the others were walk on's or close to it. Raptor ran two trains and we waited three trains for the front. Wilderness Run was a walk on as well and my grandson and I had a blast! Sticky, hot and muggy but an unexpected awesome riding day.

Rogarou was up and running Friday. Like mentioned it was a walk on, finally got a front seat ride. BTW - What happened to the mist and screams at bottom of first drop? Already got rid of the themeing?

Now that u say that I haven't heard the roars they play either

Maybe the ride operators don't want to turn the sound effects on. Not that it would interfere with the ride, but maybe it annoys them. Another scenario is maybe they're saving it for Halloweekends.

I doubt those are close to the real reason. I'm sure it's the usual "We'll fix it when we want to."

Which means it could very well just stay off if it's that bothersome to them.

There was mist and roars when we were there last week but the roars were kind of weak and lame sounding. I could only hear them by the first loop and then only from the midway and only because I was listening for them.

Maybe they turned the sound effects down a little since Opening weekend. Just a thought.

Nope definitely not on at all.

When I went for MF/Rougarou ERT a couple weeks ago (which ended up being just MF ERT), I thought I heard some faint roars coming from TCFKAB as I left. I thought the reason nobody thinks they are hearing it is because the volume is too low with all the crowds during the day.

Last night I realized I was probably hearing Dinosaurs Alive.

Well, I used to clearly hear the howl of the Rougarou above all of the background noise. Ether they turned the volume down very low or it is off. Haven't heard the howl in awhile.

It's depressing when they hype up "theming" for a ride and the items that barely qualify as "theming" don't even last half a season. The fog machine was barely working yesterday.

I love CP, but I wish they'd put more care into their themeing. Rougarou didn't have that much going for it in the first place, but now even the sound effects are gone. :(

What happened to that Rougarou that we were supposed to see? Are they just taking about some guy in a costume that may make an occasional apperance? I only saw him on media day. I was under the impression there would be something like a statue. Anytime Cedar Point teases "theming", don't get your hopes up.
