Rougarou / Valravn restraints

Making my first trip since 2014. That year, got up to 275, at 6'2 was able fit on everything except Raptor for the first time ever. Down to 233, 47 chest measured and 36 waist. Has anyone experienced the valravn/ rougarou restraints to be excessively tight, similar to Wicked Twister? I can't imagine at a 47 chest and 36 waist I'd have any issues, but the CP site listing of 52 chest and 40 waist is still too large for WT, based on my experience.

Wicked twister is pretty much no chance. My friend, who weighs about 170, almost had to take a walk of shame on it yesterday. Same with me, at 6'1 220 with a 34 inch waist. Rougarou is the same as Raptor and Valravn is the same as GateKeeper.

CP Top 5: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Maverick 3) Magnum 4) Raptor 5) Millennium

cool thanks. I've been on WT before, years ago, was never impressed, so I'm not at a big loss there. Gatekeeper was tight in 2014 but I made it at 275 without assistance. Raptor was oh so close, but they wouldn't push down for you. At 40lb down I should have no issues. Thanks!

Why did a 170 lb person almost not fit? I've heard people mention how tight the requirements for WT are, but last year I had no problems at all, and I'm a relatively bulky 5'11" 210 lbs. Is it the height?

I would think 233 lbs with a 36 waist should be fine to ride pretty much any adult sized rides.

The issue always seemed to be the belt being so short, and on the side, rather than directly in front of you. Being big across the shoulders, the OTSR also seems to have a tighter slope down to the front of the rider, where the others seem to give a little more in the shoulders. The issue with WT is almost never the gut, it's in the shoulders as much as the chest. I went in 2013 with a friend who was 6'1 and 195, 32 waist but very wide shoulders, and he nearly couldn't buckle.

Does anyone know if they still have a test seat for Wicked Twister outside of the queue?

That person was me. I am 6 feet tall and around 180 but on the decline since I am in running season. My body has almost no torso but I have some pretty large thighs that are pretty big since I run a lot. I have almost no gut, just some large legs. I wear a 30 or 32 waist / 36 length pair of jeans. I have to wear 15 inch inseam cargo shorts to even hit my knees. The problem is just that the seat belts get smaller and smaller. It can vary by over an inch from seat to seat. The ride had a really bad rattle when we rode it so I don't plan on riding it too much in the future.

SV ruins all other rides.

I am 5'11'' and 195. All though I had to use the buckle furthest from the back of the seat on Wicked Twister I did not find the OTSR to be tight at all. I actually thought the Valravn and Gatekeeper OSTR where worse

Nope. I can ride any seat on Valravn with a little help and I can buckle the belt in the big boy seats. GateKeeper is a no-go in regular seats* and I need a little shove in the big boy seats. I'm 6'4" 290lbs, the only coaster I can't ride at all is Wicked Twister (which is one of my favorites).

*After I was able to ride Valravn in a regular seat I tried to ride GateKeeper in the front row since I've never experienced that. No dice. They told me to try row 4 (no problem) but I had to leave and go wait in line again. Thought they should let me ride the next train.

To the end of the row 4 line or all the way back around? All the way back around would stink because it's not your fault you didn't know about row 4.

They told me to just go back to row 4. I doubt they'd make you wait in the entire line all over again.

Nope the lady who was helping me with the restraint told me about row 4 (I did know about it but wanted to try front because Valravn blah blah) and said to wait at the exit and I could get on the next train. The guy back towards the exit said I couldn't wait there, I explained the situation, he said I had to go around to the end of the line.

I hope you went to customer service with that

I was sent to row 4 with a friend once and they did not let us on the next train, but they didn't send us off the platform either just had to wait behind the people already in the row 4 line.

Is it true that they added a row of B&M Big Boy seats to Raptor this year? Does Rougarou have a row?

Also, are the big seats in rows 4 & 5 on Valravn and Gatekeeper? I know that's where they are on Banshee at KI.

Yes, Raptor now has the double-buckle seats available for larger guests, and Rougarou has had them since it opened in 2015. GateKeeper, Rougarou and Raptor have them all either in Row 4 or Row 5, whereas Valravn has a couple of them available in each row of the train. For Rougarou and Raptor, just make sure to look for the seats with two buckles on the harness, and for GateKeeper and Valravn, make sure to look for the seats with the red seatbelt. (It's not a bright red, but more like a burgundy color.)

GateKeeper, Raptor, and Rougarou all have big boy seats in row 4. Row 4 & 5 on Valravn sounds like a wild ride! Doubt there's any big boy seats in those rows.

HA! That's true!! I didn't even think about the fact that it is only 3 rows when I posted.

Oh yes Raptor added double safety belt in row 4 two on the outside seats, the two middle seats has regular one safety belt. Every time I get ready to sit in the middle seats before pulling down the shoulder harness, ride operator told me to used the other seats. So I did, Rougarou with assistance to get in the regular seat, can get it to latched without the extended safety belt. Also I'm 6 foot 2 298 lbs, I can ride Raptor with extended safety belt which it has a lot of space, Rougarou in row 3 or 4, Gatekeeper with an exception of red safety belt in row 4, and Valravn with the red safety belt, but can get in the yellow safety belt with assistance. I just fit on Millennium Force safety belt in the test seat for the first time on my own, but on actual ride, need assistance to fastened it. Still working on fitting on TTD safety belt which I almost got it.

Making people whole since Winter Chill Out 2018.

On a serious note - I barely fit into Wicked Twister, but was almost able to use the skinny person belt on Possessed at Dorney a few weeks ago. But the Wicked Twister seatbelt is a tougher squeeze than Mine Ride. It is quite a crazy discrepancy.
