Room for Innovation!

I would just like to say that I have been looking forward to joining this site for quite sometime. After all the "uproar" that the new rollercoaster had caused I felt that it was time to put my two cents in.

Granted, there are many topics about this, Lets talk about "Great Adventure's" new toy. Yes it is without a doubt the tallest,fastest rollercoaster in the world. Congrats.

While at first I was upset I then choose to wait until the time of the press release before I made any comment.

I am by nature a CP fanboy. CP is my favorite park in the entire world. I am not going to bash SFGA's new coaster at all. I am acually happy that we got to hold the title for at least two years. Like someone said before, "I hope they enjoy the record as much as we did." How true. They can enjoy their records as much as they want. It won't last forever.

I can say that their coaster leaves some room for improvement. They broke the 450" barrier, which in my mind isn't really all that much of a barrier. An accomplishment, yes. A barrier, no. Their coaster goes a whole 8 mph faster in .3 seconds less than ours. The big deal? There isn't one.

All I am saying is that Six Flags did the stupidist thing by not trying to be more innovative. Adding an extra "bunny hill" does not qualify. They might have the record (for now) buy they left the looming 500ft barrier unntouched. Will coasters get there? Yea. Soon? Yea. Will it be CP?.....Hopefully.

All I am trying to do is say that fanboys of CP might feel a little discouraged right now. But there is NO REASON to be. "Kingdom KA" is not going to take anything away from Dragster or CP other than bragging rights. They can say "we have the tallest,fastest coaster in the world."

Then I'd only reply with, "Best Amusement Park 7 years and counting."

Do we really need a second topic on the same thing?
