Roof

Roof looks to be about done. Have to appreciate CP with their webcams and great photos.

With a tin roof, that station is going to be especially noisy in a heavy rain, or even the rare-occassional pellet hail-storm. Let's hope there is something going on top of that....

Yeah...but maybe they used tin to get everyone out of line when it rains because all the people do when it rains is bug the ride operators about when the ride will open again...If the roof is made of tin, it will get really noisy in there and either people will get a bad headache or just get bored of waiting...Plus, if you hear the rain, the chances that you will have to use the bathroom will increase...another quick way to shorten the line... :)
Tin Roof?  Well, the technical term for that system of roofing is Standing Seam Metal Roof and usually it's made of Galvanized Steel, aluminum, tin (long time ago) or even copper.  I personally find the noise of rain on a tin roof to be relaxing, like a waterfall almost.  Trust me, it won't be as loud as you think it may be, if it's properly attached to the structure, it won't vibrate loudly.  Hail storms, on the other hand, may be a different story.

Well, Seth. I just learned a little something about that kind of roofing. :) That was actually rather interesting. Probably bad news to Raptor_Rider though....

Yeah that's bad news because I don't get out of line when it rains...I don't want more people to stay with me in line...I stay put and wait...most people leave but I'm one of those annoying people that just won't leave...unless I have to go to the bathroom....that's a whole different story then... :) Whether it's rain, sleet, hail, or snow you'll always find me standing somewhere in line(I prefer the station) with an umbrella or a hood over my head with a smile on my face...It makes the world a better place...lol...how stupid was that...don't answer that...
Perhaps they are going to add a layer of sound absorbers to the roof, OR they are going to run the ride in the rain anyway so the fact that you hear rain falling on the station roof will make no difference because of a train screaming through the station every few seconds....
I liked that small poetic piece Raptor Rider,
Thanks
Rain shouldnt shut the ride down....They run Speed: The Ride all the time in the rain.
