That was not directed at you. I was responding to John's post.

Ok I love a great Detroit bashing thread as much as anyone but lets move it along...
As for Romance at CP I'll never forget my first kiss with JS on the Pirate Ride, straddling my very soon to be first girlfriend on white water landings, and oh man the beach... Somthing about riding those coasters really got my teen hormones going. Also the first date with my fiance was at CP too.
There is an office at Cedar Point that will be memorable for me but that is a story best left untold. I assume the office has been remodeled after all these years but, then again, knowing Kinzel that is a dangerous assumption.

Last summer my girlfriend went to a college visit/business camp at a college in NE ohio. I was at the point with some friends and she called me and said her group was taking a trip up there. I didn't tell her I was there, but I told her to tell me when she got there. Needless to say, she was suprised :)

How's that crime rate? well, anyway anyone have an encounter on a ride?
I do have some stories similar to CP&LE Engineer but I personally prefer to believe that the rides are pristine clean from those types of "substances." We all know the ride units get soiled from time to time and constantly with sweat, but I don't want to think of other "substances"...
Just your usual come and go poster. One week I am here, then I disappear for a while.
Detroit, sorry we missed you. (printed on a T-shirt under a picture of a gun).
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,

Well I for one think the entire park can be a romantic place. I still remember the first trip I took there with my wife. Such fond memories. It was standing in line for WT that we both realized we would be together for the rest of our lives. My favorite picture with her was standing in line for WT with a bright blue sky and lake Erie in the background. It just all depends on who you are with and how you feel. When all of us are old, grey, and grumpy old people who can no longer go to the Point, we will look back on these times and pictures with such happiness.
Don't forget the merry-go-round ghost story. In a way, it is also a romantic story.
You are never too old to go to the Point. My mom has a senior season pass at age 89!

That is true Pete, anyone know of or remember the Air Force Veteran who I believe was from California in 2003. I believe he was in his late 80's early 90's. I guess he had a Knotts season pass, but took temporary residence in Sandusky because he liked Dragster and rode as often as he could. I only chatted with him a few times that season, but it was unique.

Well I hope you all can keep going to the day you die. But seeing as how I feel right now at 34, I'll be lucky to still be going at 50. Stupid back of mine has aged double of my true age :(. But then again, with stem cell research??? I'm reaching but got to have hope LOL.
Dusk in the Park is great for Romance. The ride lights are just starting to kick on, the aroma of cotton candy fills the air. A nice sublte breeze lofts in from the bay. Grab your siginficant other, stroll on over to the Ferris wheel, and sit a while on a bench with your arm around them, listening to the launch of Wicked twister mixed with the crash of waves as the Ferris wheel light show soothes you. Back in the day it was always nice to sit around a campfire in Camper Village then go cozy up in a tent. Sometimes now its even nice to have our Little ones take us for a relaxing, rail bumping ride in the Antique cars in the front and rear of the park. Just my two cents.
Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.
Well as for me,
I took my wife to cedar point for her first time ever. she was a Cedar Point virgin. 6 months later we were married... Been married for almost a year now. Thanks Cedar Point.
