Rollercoasters in Movies

How about that rollercoaster in "House on Haunted Hill". Starting with that elevator ride, then the broken track... That would be a new kind of ride.

I believe that coaster was Hulk at IOA. (Not the broken part, just the beginning)

This brings up the whole "Tommy Boy" issue. It was shot in Sandusky. I swear seeing Chris Farley (RIP) on Magnum would be hilarious.

Hulk only has the lanch, and zero g roll. It doesnt have the elevator, or broken track.

Yes it was Hulk. They modified the set-up for the movie so it would look more terrifying and to also masked the coaster pretty well.

actually "tommy Boy" WAS NOT shot in sandusky..the storyline and script just had it take place there..I actually read it was shot elsewhere!! Canada I beleive were some parts.

Correct Jeff.. 'Tommy Boy' was shot in Toronto. Had a friend who was a camera operator on that flick.

On a side note.. have fun guys.. heading to L.A. in the morning with Knott's, Disney, SFMM all ont eh plate, and maybe one other if I can squeeze it in. Got to love winter coaster trips.

That was awesome with Hulk in House on Haunted Hill. They did a nice job blending the elevator and track in with the ride itself. Although when they ran both trains right after each other and messed up the order of inversions...it looked funny :)
