I'd like to hear more "theme" music at the stations... Millenium Force has its "music" and it gets you excited just hearing it, instant recognition of pure adrenalin rush to come... Any thoughts on this or ideas for the current or future coaster stations?
Top Thrill Dragster plays "Ready To Go" by Republica I believe. Wicked Twister plays or at least they use to play "The Winner" by The Crystal Method, Maverick also has or had station music also. All those songs fit with the theme or feel of the ride. Does anyone know if Magnum has music? They usually do put theme music with their newer coasters, not sure what songs would fit with the feel of the other older coasters though.
Magnum doesn't currently have any station music but didn't they at some point in the past?

Maverick has the song "Rawhide" but I haven't heard that lately in the queue. They were just playing regular country music the last time I was there.(07/13/2012)

I don't believe Wicked Twister plays music anymore. At least last month they didn't have it playing. If I were a ride host on that ride, I would be very annoyed with that playing constantly. Maverick has never had station music. However, the ride has a stock theme that was used as a promo (which used to be in the queue music). I am guessing the song came from Cinetrax or some stock music site. It seems in most amusement parks when rides have auto-spiels, they are more likely to have some type of station music or sound effects.
Wicked Twister definitely still plays "The Winner". Maybe they just didn't have the volume turned up when you went, because we used to turn the volume all the way down during mechanical downtime and sometimes forgot to turn it back up
Although its a great song, I don't think any station music gets more annoying than Vertigo by U2 being played at Invertigo at Kings Island.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
I think it would be cool to have music from the coaster's 'birth year' playing in the queues. For example, have music from 1994 for Raptor, 1998 for Mantis, 2000 for Millennium... You guys get the idea. I'm sure it might get annoying after a while, but I think it would be a cool thing to try out for a year or two.
Not that this has anything to do with music, but I think they need to install more fans in some of the queues. Especially Dragster. There isn't any shade considering those tents do nothing.
For the most part, that's exactly how it's set up. Or at least it was prior to this year. You couldn't get near Mantis without hearing 1996's greatest hits.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I don't ever remember there even being music in the Mantis queue. Then again, I rarley actually have to stand in line for it. If it's longer than 15 minutes i don't ride it's not worth standing in a long line to get your parts smashed... :0
They use to play music videos on the giant screen that was inside the queue at Mantis too.
I remember that. Didn't the screen only work for a season or two? It spent many years covered up by a black tarp before they removed it.

I don't remember how many seasons it worked before they finally just shut it off. Most of what I remember was not being able to even see the screen depending on where the sun was at.

They should get Dollywood's misting fans. Those are awesome.
Let's Get Weird.
^ Agreed! Especially considering that the mister fans currently in those lines are all clogged or are never working.
Anyone have a pic of Dollywood's fans? Or at least a description on what makes them different than what CP uses?

I've noticed that John Cage's 4'33" is a popular music choice in many roller coaster stations.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
